Who exactly would he have fought in the UFC? UFC's heavy weight division was tim sylvia and arlovski for a long time. Thats it. He beat them bought in affliction when they where still ranked highly. The only top heavy weight of his time he didnt fight was barnett.

In strikeforce he lost to the current ufc champ, and silva. Who fought for the title twice. He lost to dan henderson in a back and forth slug fest. He had a bad 3 fight streak towards the end of his career. I still would have picked him in a rematch over all those guys at the time he lost to them.

Name me one heavy weight other then werdum whos resume you can stack up against fedors wins.

Whats very interesting is.... I still remember endless threads in 2005 saying that Fedor isnt number one until he beats Sylvia or Arlovski "Sylvia is too big and would murder Fedor" "theres never been a super athlete like Arlovski. Fedor has no chance"

Fedor crushed cans as well as top fighters. Get your shit together. You're probably too new to mma to understand. But it doesn't matter what you think bc Fedor is your favorite fighter's favorite fighter.

His resume is not terrible. What you forget is that when he did fight cans he was doing so on an active basis. So instead of having 1-2 fights each year he was doing several fights and some were cans. I acknowledge that he did have some cans and he fell off towards the end, but the people that try to discredit his reign come off as plain dumb.

It's not dumb at all. My biggest personally qualification to being considered the GOAT and my biggest complaint about him has always been his fight resume, it doesn't really matter if it's to cater to fans, or because they couldn't get anyone due to contracts, tournaments or whatever it may be. You don't fight the kind of guys he fought as a Champ and be the GOAT. That's what I've always believed. He's a legend, but not a GOAT imo. And unfortunately, he has a lot of guys that are not even HWs on his fight resume as well as guys with records that no top 10 fighter (nonetheless a Champion) should ever be fighting.

2. Anderson Silva and chuck Liddell came to fight in Pride where you think there were only cans. And Anderson silva went 0-2 against mid-tier Japanese guys
and never came back to Pride. Chuck Liddel got beat up by Quinton Rampage and embarrassed himself.

one more thing: Fedor beat much taller and heavier opponent throughout his prime whereas Jon Jones had a hard time right away when he did not have reach
and height advantage on his opponent(Gustafson). GOATS overcome their physique, not rely on it all the time.

unfortuantley when ring fighting started to die out and he had to fight in the cage he couldnt utilize the cage as a weapon more like the cage was a weapon against him... ring fighting is a lot different from cage fighting even if the fight doesnt go to the ground.. its amazing because when animals fight it doesnt matter where the fight takes place but when humans fight its so so important where the fight takes place .. wrestlers want to fight bjj guys on concrete so they can slam them .. bjj guys would rather fight on the grass ... strikers would rather fight in a non enclosed environment

look at fedors, gsp, andersons and many champs record now on fight finder. when many of their victims are not relevant anymore. it looks like they have done shit in their career. watch them as they progress from fight to fight destroying each person and you will realize youre watching something great
