Whats the worst Ref's stoppage in UFC history?

Just got done rewatching Chiesa vs Lee and Mario stops the highly anticipated bout early, no tap or anything just decides it's time to stop the fight.. I do think Lee would have put him to sleep eventually but imagine having this kind of shit on your back? I'm surprised he doesn't get death threats..

anyway can you think of any worse ref decisions than this?

I can live with early stoppages. They aren't eligible on my "worst stoppages" list.

The late stoppages are the ones that make me shake my head like what the fuck is wrong with this ref.

Matt Brown vs Pete Sell was one of the worst I can remember becase Yves Lavigne stopped it, then re-started the fight (illegally) and Brown was beating the bejesus out of Sell and looking at Lavigne like why the fuck are you making me beat his ass like this

There was a fight I remember seeing on a Brazilian ufc card where the ref stopped the fight while the fighter on top was passing to side control and the fighter on bottom basically had him in a headlock. Ref called it a sub for the guy on bottom even though there was no tap, the guy on top was in no danger, and he had just established side control.

The whole thing was bizarre.

I remember that fight live.... Rothwell took a tremendous beating and was out on his feet...(Yes I know he "looked" fine after the stoppage) that was one of Cain's prolonged beatings and I had no issue with the stoppage (considering the amount of damage that Rothwell took the entire fight)
