What's the top10 fighters with best resume all time in MMA?

Jake Shields and Jon Fitch should definitely be on your list for GSP... both guys are top 15 all time at WW/MW...
I'd add Sean Sherk as well who's a fringe hall of famer and former champ. GSP not only beat him but became the first to finish him. Shields, Fitch, and Sherk are more significant wins than Condit and Diaz. Even beating old ass Bisping is more significant than Diaz

No Fedor is WILD.
His resume wipes the floor with most of those.
Arguably beats ALL of them.

Fedor beat:

Ufc champs: (9 wins over 7 different champs)

Coleman 2x
Nog (IC) 2x
Randleman
Sylvia
Mir
Arlovski
Rampage

CroCop - Pride HW GP Champ

UFC title challengers

Pedro Rizzo
Jeff Monson
Mark Hunt (K1 Champ)
Chael Sonnen
Matt Lindland
Renato Sobral

+

Semmy Shilt - K1 Champ

Plus numerous wins over NCAA champs, pride title challengers, Olympians, Judo champs, etc.
Good list. Semmy was also the Pancrase Champ for a while.

I was thinking BJ Penn - Hughes (x2), Sherk, Serra, Gomi, Florian, Stevenson, Pulver

The problem with BJ and Fedor, guys like Matt Hughes or Big Nog or anyone who were on top in the 2000-2005 or so era is that tons of current fans don't know the value of the wins in those times. TUF fans, Conor fans, etc just won't recognize those names and have that association of it being a top and valued win when (if) they look at those guys records.

(Not to mention all the "but the sport evolved" dumbasses who think beating the best guys in the world in your era doesn't count for some reason if it happened before they followed the sport)

BJ came out of nowhere and was beating top guys.

Gomi, Pulver and Uno were ranked 1 2 3 in the world when BJ debuted. And BJ beat all of them by finish. (Eventually, but during his initial 9 year dominant LW run) when he beat Bang Ludwig, that was a big win back then, he beat Din Thomas in one of his first 3 rights and then shortly after starched Caol Uno in 11 seconds. Those were the best LWs in the world back then and BJ went thru them fairly easily.

Right

You are complaining about the 8th and 9th best wins on the list of 9 wins Fedor has over UFC champions.
(Beating Rampage and Mir in the Bellator HW GP later in their careers)

Would you like to present a counter argument of someone whom you feel has better 8th and 9th best wins over UFC champions?

You and @Mohawk Banditó are the best at turning logic into a weapon. I love watching you to dish out the beatings.

If we don't take into account the cheating/PEDs use, Jon Jones is #1 and GSP #2 IMO

RDA most definitely has to be in the conversation.

So true my friend. They never see the highlight reel that this fight was in the pre-TUF UFC.

My list:

2 - Cormier: Miocic, Gustafsson, Anthonny Johnson (2x), Henderson, Barnett, Mir
3 - Miocic: Cormier (2x), Ngannou, Overeen, Werdum, Dos Santos, Hunt
4 - Volkanovski: Holloway (3x), Aldo, Diego Lopez, Ortega, Pantera
5 - GSP: BJ Penn (2x), Jhonny Hendricks, Nick Diaz, Carlos Condit, Matt Hughes (2x), Shields
6- Adesanya: Whitakker (2x), Romero, Pereira, Cannonier
7 - Dan Henderson: Minotauro, Wanderlei Silva, Shogun (2x), Belfort, Franklin, Bisping, Fedor
8 - Merab: Petr Yan, Umar, O’Malley (2x), Cejudo, Aldo
9 - Dos Santos: Cain, Miocic, Werdum, Carwin, Mir, Hunt, Nelson
10- Shogun: Machida, Rampage, Arona, Minotouro, Overeen (2x), Griffin

Are you only considering the names or where/when they were at in their careers/peaks?

Or at least if they were both in similar places in their careers like prime v prime, shopworn v shopworn?

Cormier isnt top-10, let alone top-2. <DCrying> <DCWhoa>

Jones has one victory and one no contest due to steroids against DC. Dude is a steroid junky having failed 4 different PED test so his resume is 100% not number 1.

Not in order but off the top of my head

Shogun
Hendo
Big Nog
Overeem
Vitor
Poirier
Wanderlei
GSP
Stipe
Jon Jones

Honorable mentions
Fedor, Werdum, CroCop, BJ Penn, & Jose Aldo

If we’re looking at wins over top opponents in their primes/difficulty of the wins (ie. winning vs bigger elite opponents) and we're not counting the performance itself, then

1. Hendo: big nog, babalu x2, ninja, Busta x2, Vitor, Wanderlei, palhares, Franklin, bisping, feijao, Fedor, shogun, lombard

2. GSP: Hughes x2, BJ x2, Fitch, Trigg, Diaz, Condit, Hendricks, Alves, Shields, Kos x2, Bisping, Sherk
