What's the point of Usman fighting Khamzat?

Haha his thread is going to go well. "What's the point of defending your title"? LOL plus other nonsense. Awesome start to getting brutalized TS.
 
lets wait until khamzat beats at least 2 top 10 guys, let alone ONE.
 
what was the point of him rematching masvidal? other than hur dur he didnt have a full twaining camp, it didnt count

I dont think you comprehend Usman if you think he will retire.

No one gets to where he is by thinking "I'm worse than so and so, I'll retire to avoid him."
 
Is anyone outside of Sherdog saying he should? Khamzat hasn't come close to earning a title shot yet.

He's not going to retire to avoid anyone but he's been talking about retiring for a while. His knees make it hard for him train, he apparently has next to no cartilage left in his knees so they hurt all the time.
 
Yeah Usman is never gonna surpass gsp. Fighting in a weaker (yes, weaker) division means he'd need even more defenses than gsp got.

It depends if khamzat steam rolls Burns.

IF he does then the hype train will be HUGE. It would easily be the biggest fight usman has ever had.
 
Khamzat is one of the best and most hyped prospects In MMA history and if he becomes a champ, nobody would forget Usman ducked him.

Oh and Khamzat has a big following and is the best money fight In the division if he wibs against Burns.
