What's the point of GSP-Nate at 155 instead of 170?

Apologies if this has been asked already.

AFAIK GSP has never fought as a pro at 155. Nate looks better at 170. Just not understanding why Dana wants this fight at WW.

Khabib or Conor matchups probably

Guaranteed Red Panty Night.

I do not know how GSP will make it to 155. He is big and older now.

Trying to kill GSP with the first weight cut death in UFC history.

What's the point of that fight at ANY weight?

Because colitis and Nate's chances are higher seeing as GSP never fought there but fight wont happen

its not hard to figure out. winner gets khabib.

This is just superfight ingredients, no other reason.

Big money fight. Sets up a bigger money fight.

GSP’s legacy.....wins in 3 diff weight classes...he beat a journeyman MW so now he is GOAT right?

So disappointed that GSP is willing to help WME create circus sideshow fights. I was cool with it one time, but that was pushing it.

GSP is the Welterweight GOAT. He should be fighting at 170.

Really ?

If it happens at all...

The obvious reason would be proving GSP can make that weight. Even a couple days later and numerous posts explaining exactly why it would be at LW, and not WW. But, you still don’t understand ?

GSP Haters will hate on anything and everything.

This fight actually makes perfect sense, if GSP wants to move to 155lbs. Nate doesn't deserve a title shot. GSP doesn't deserve a title shot. Neither even deserve a shot against the top guys yet actually.

So you have two marketable fighters, not in the top 5 at the Weightclass, so they are putting them up against each other. What the fuck is the big deal??

Would you haters rather GSP walk into another immediate title shot?? Would you rather Nate jump the line and get a title shot??

It is designed to give Nate some sort of chance by GSP having to work harder to cut i would imagine otherwise at 170lb it won't even be close. Not that i think Nate has a chance in hell of winning anyway.

A risk free experiment to see how he makes the weight before fighting McGregor also a nice payday as Diaz is popular
