what's the best heavy bag?

The fairtex bag can be filled to 300lbs pretty easy. It can also be floor mounted, so the weight will not really matter...because it isn't gojng to move.

well, I got my bag yesterday, and it's a beast. I want to get a stud finder and screw in a swivel attachment then hang it into a wooden i-beam. Does anyone know if this is too much stress for the wooden i-beam? Could it weaken it to the point it breaks?

You mean a wooden beam in your house? I wouldn't hang a 200lb bag on one bean. Maybe spread the load out over 2 or 3 beams?

I just googled heavy bags and this page came up. I didn't realized how old this thread is up until now and I don't know how to delete this message :P Sry!

Either just edit it to say 'whoops' or something. And don't apologise,at least you searched for an answer/relevant thread.....

As long as it is leather and not stuffed with little sand bags like everlast then you are good to go.

If weight is the factor then know that you can always fill it up yourself.
Best heavy bag by far is Twins.
