Food & Drink What's the best cuisine in the world?

I think Melbourne where I live has the highest Greek community outside of that country, as a result our Greek food is great.

Below is from Stalactites, our oldest Greek restaurant, so good, all of it.

I've had the Greek food in Australia and it's exquisite.

Come to think of it, the food in general was amazing. The pizza, fish and chips (best I ever had) and lamb, out of this world.

Yeah there’s not really much actual Australian cuisine, thank fuck for the immigrants basically, you can get a decent version of nearly any cuisine down here.

I know you mentioned Peruvian food in your other post which I would have agreed with in the past, like...... What even is Peruvian food? But after doing a bit of digging, it's actually very intriguing and has a ton of Asian influence as well.

I mean, I'm not good at explaining it, but it definitely goes under the radar.

Peruvian > Mexican.

Peruvian food or more specifically Nikkei Cuisine is a fusion of Japanese and Peruvian food and ingredients. It is very very good if you ever get a chance to try it. And no I'm not Peruvian or Japanese. Just someone who tried the food and rank it among the world's best.

I don't agree with this list. Greek at #1 is odd, Japanese and Thailand is too low. Poland at #11? WTF.

My tops in no particular order are Japanese, Peruvian, Korean, and Spanish.

Never even heard of Nikkei cuisine before, thanks for the recommendation!

I posted this in the warroom and wanted to see what everyone thought.

As someone with Greek heritage, I totally agree with this list, it's about time it's rightfully crowned as the cream of the crop, but this list has caused A LOT of arguments online.

What do you think the best cuisine out there is. Do you agree with this list?

Here it is:

Yep anzac cookies, that's Australian as far as I know. Meat pies are a staple here but British, there's a dessert called pavlova that people think is Aussie but it's actually from New Zealand. So that leaves us with lamingtons and sausage in bread I reckon ha ha

I am liking Chinese dishes these days. Any combo of salt/pepper, chilli, ginger and garlic stir fried with any protein and vegetables, served with rice or noodles tastes great - healthy, too. My favorite cuisine is probably French. It takes a while to make, but worth it in the end.
