If you joined in the previous decade and have a lot of posts somehow you are supposed to be more respected than white belts.

But the posters that are still around from that along ago were probably the ones who flew under the radar, because they never had anything interesting to say. Stacking up a bunch of posts that nobody enjoys reading until finally their account creation date makes them matter.

considering the many ways you can be banned, anyone who hasn't been banned yet in 6-10 years must be incredibly boring

I'd say just ignore elitist posturing and take this place for what it's worth? A lot of garbage, but some good discussions do pop up once in a while.
 
After I hit the post reply button, I hope this is already in the wasteland.
 
Doesn't mean anything by itself. But posters that have been around awhile normally have a better idea of what posters make decent posts because of their history. But you will find good and bad posts regardless of belt obviously.

we shouldnt allow custom avatars until you've been here for a year without being banned. Until your worth is proven, you should all wear the generic orange avatar of shame and seek to stand out through exemplary posting.
 
There's ton of fighter bashing trolls with early 2000 join dates so I don't think it has much to do with post quality as it is just a way to call you a an MMA noob by saying you've only been watching since your join date.
