I didn't ask @KONE for permission :D. Although I picked Wonderboy to reign supreme I felt bad for Rory. He was very dejected after the fight and he knew it wasn't a great performance by his standards. Also his nose was broken again which is to require another surgery.

The last fight on his contract as well. Should he go to Bellator, re-sign, or retire?

Don't believe he can beat Koreshkov in his current form, so no to bellator for me. I don't think he should retire, just take time off to heal and work on his game and wait for his kid to be born.

So I say re-sign with the UFC if they make a legitimate offer. Also time to either do some cross training or leave Firas altogether. He needs a change of scenery to get his confidence back and see what another gym or coach can do for him. Maybe Serra-Longo or Ricardo Almeida/Renzo Gracie since they are close to home for Rory.

I'm being optimistic and saying the UFC sees his worth and resigns him. Rory is a fighter that has only lost to the very best, they'd be foolish to let him leave.

Go to Bellator for a year or two, retool, pick up a belt and come back to UFC for more pay and an immediate title shot.

Bellator man. Ufc wont pay him. Bellator prob wont pay him much more but he would get great sponsor money. Hes got a kid comin and as many will attest to when you have children making money becomes the top priority.

Idk... that's his call.

But as a fan I thought he could have done alot more to win. The Lawler loss seemed to affect him more than I thought it would.

Resign with UFC, but only if he gets paid that he is worth.
UFC is stupid if they risk losing someone like Rory.

He looked like he wanted no part of that fight. Go home, enjoy the birth of your daughter, and take some time to think about what you really want to do Rory. That Lawler fight took a lot out of him and last night didn't help at all.

I see that side of it too. I'll respect his decision regardless. Guy is a warrior.

Bellator. Let him rack up some wins, get his confidence back. He looked visibly shaken yesterday.

Remain in the UFC. Take a some time off and then fight a mid tier guy. Rory needs a break from fighting top tier guys.

Wonderbread is the goods bros. He's the uncrowned king next champ for sure.

Rory is not the same fighter he was before Lawler crushed his nose. It was obvious to me that Wonderboy was targeting the nose at every turn. I believe Rory can beat a lesser fighter still, but at the same time, his nose will never allow him to take shots.
He wasnt getting off shots at all, and with all due respect to Steven, Rory looked like a shell of his former self. He should cut his long term damage and further face re-arrangement...and become a commentator/trainer.
I have 0 faith that Rory can reclaim championship form, and if thats the case, why take all the damamge to your body. I know he's young..I know he has skills,...but he also has that button in the middle of his face that everyone he fights will blatantly tatget. Make your money with your knowledge Rory....because further fights against top guys will bear the same fruit as this fight.

I say resign with UFC unless it is a guarantee he would get more $$$ in Bellator. I just want the dude to get paid.

So you think he is like Post-UFC 124 Koscheck? Haa

Bellator then retire

Belabortor: where UFC fighters go to find their salaries.

I voted sign with Bellator. Since Rory lost last night I think Bellator will probably offer more money than the UFC will. Like @NightwingBJJ said I just want the dude to get paid.

Also with the baby girl on the way and having to get his nose fixed, I'd like to see him take some time off to heal and hopefully reinvent himself before his next fight.

Yeah. The last paragraph is why I felt so bad for the guy.
