Since moving to 155, Dustin poirier is 3-0 with 2 knockouts his last win being a dominant decision over highly touted Irish prospect Joe Duffy. Since then he's moved into the UFC's top 10 LW rankings and is probably going to get a big fight next. What do you guys think makes sense?

I'd like to see him fight the winner of Chiesa/Dariush or Al Iaquinta. A fight with Donald Cerrone would be cool also but I have a feeling he's going to prefer WW, plus I think he's a little high up the ladder for Poirier.

What are some matchups you wanna see for him?

Chiesa might be a nice match-up. Dustin has WAY better hands, but Chiesa is a beast grappler / sub stylist.

Iaquinta would be a nice war.

Dariush would murk him on the ground.

Iaquinta is not top 10, and he got clowned by Masvidal, judges went complete retard in that one.

Dustin needs a step up in competition, Michael Johnson would be a good test.

I second Johnson-Poirier, although they typically don't match up a guy coming off a loss with one coming off a win.

Iaquinta makes sense. Chiesa/Darniush winner either!

I don't think Iaquinta is a top 10 talent but I think he vs. Poirier would be a good fight and one that moves Dustin up. Michael Johnson is a great fight too but I get the feeling they're going to throw him a lob coming off of two loses. Maybe not though.

Ya you're probably right, I forgot about the Dariush loss, although that was another bad decision imo.

But ya, anyone in the top 10 for Dustin will be interesting. I am impressed with his LW run so far, I hope he keeps it up.

That Brazilian guy who beat Pearson

Chiesa is asking for a top 10 opponent, I like that match up just so Chiesa shuts up

he needs a top 5 guy if he wants to be considered a threat for the title he needs a top 5 win he has had enough fights to acclimate back to 155. He is either a filler or a contender its time to decide.

The winner of Dariush/Chiesa sounds good to me.

Well, Chiesa is fighting Dariush at FOX 19, that's why I suggested Poirier fight the winner of that fight.
he is?? thats a bad fight for him imo

oh well, what about Poirier vs Michael Johnson? ATT vs Blackzillians. could be a decent fight thats sellable on a decent card

raging Al or Cowboy, cowboys always down to scrap and im sure if dustin called him out he'd get his wish, a win over cerrone would put dustin near the top of the food chain.

I've been calling for this fight for a long time now:

Rashid Magomedov

Let's see which one of them is really ready for the elite Lightweights.

fuck, just realized that They gave Magomedov a fight against Wade. How many prospoects does Rashid need to bury?

I think he needs someone borderline top 5 like Michael Johnson, Beneil Dariush, Edson Barboza, or maybe just maybe a top 5er like Anthony Pettis... If he were to get a win against one of those 4... I think we could see a great matchup Ferguson/Poirier... Win or lose against Khabib... Ferguson/Poirier is a fight I've wanted since Poirier moved up... Might get it later this year.

That Masvidal decision is still the worst one I've ever seen.
