What's next for Conor, RDA, Nate & co.

170: Nate / Robbie

Conor said he wants to defend his belt next so this has to be Frankie. Plus Frankie was there last night, talking to Dana. RDA / Winner of Khabib and Ferguson is an easy one, no surprise here. At 170 Dana said Nate / Robbie makes a lot of sense, so...that'll probably happen.

Not sure I like this matchup for Conor though. I think there's a very good chance Frankie is going to demolish him, and another crushing loss could really kill his whole momentum and maybe affect him going forward and the type of career he's gonna have. He does have the belt so he has to defend it, but still. Bad timing for him.

His kicks destroyed Chad Mendes. And the punches he landed on Nate would take out 80% of the fighters at 145 or even 155. I think either way he is one of the top dogs in those divisions. I'm just worried that his lack of grappling is going to limit him and basically make him another JDS. It just isn't enough. You have a punchers chance but you'll lose 8/10 fights against those elite wrestlers, like Cain. And Frankie is like Cain at 145. I don't think he can beat Frankie. I think he does have a shot against guys like RDA or even Robbie, just style wise it's a better matchup for him.

That's the thing that I haven't figured out yet. Is Nate's chin so good and Conor has great punching power (see his knockouts vs. smaller guys) or did the smaller guys he knock out just not have a good chin and his punching power was overrated? And what about his chin? He ate a bunch of big shots from Mendes, no issues there. Then he gets tagged a couple of times by Nate who is accurate but doesn't have a lot of power and suddenly he crumbles. I don't know where to rank him in terms of chin and punching power anymore after the Nate fight. We do know about Robbie though, the guy has a granite chin and rocks for fists.

Hey, that's what Dana wants. I don't like that matchup either for Nate but it should be a crazy war.
