What's next for Amanda Nunes?

Yes the featherweight division is a joke but Amanda has a belt there so might as well fucking defend it and Aldana is the only one that fights around that weight that has any buzz right now, any other answer makes no sense to me otherwise (Val trilogy im fine with but that will be at 135)

Really shocked that popular opinion is not unanimous for Irene Aldana

She is an exciting fighter who been getting a ton of finishes that poses a very legitimate threat to Nunes

Perplexed that people are actually suggesting other candidates

She isn't that good. She is sort of someone who stuck around the UFC for a long time. I don't think she is much of a threat to Nunes. The 135 division really stagnated for the past few years. They haven't really signed any new talent for that division in a while. I don't even think it's a UFC thing. There is no BW division in Bellator. Some of the mainstays from the UFC left or aged out. The ones that are left are about to age out. Aspen Ladd was supposed to be one of the newer talents but was with the promotion in 2017. She is now cut.

Ronda can probably still come in that division and beat a contender to get a title shot. Pena did it by beating Mcmann who I am not sure was ranked at the time or not. Germaine is most likely retired since she got pregnant.

She KO’d #2 ranked girl Ketlen Viera and would beat the snot out of Peña.

She has finishing power. Good TDD. Great cardio. And legit threat on the feet. I don’t see how anyone can write her off against Nunes

Joanna was actually bigger than Valentina was in that fight. And Valentina still unanimously won 49-46 across the board.
