I have a couple When I first started betting I was in Germany 17 yrs ago I had placed a bet on a baseball team dont recall probably not for big money since I was just starting out but the site I was using was bettingexpress for baseball they had a slaughter rule where if the team you bet on loses by 10 or more you get your money back a Cycle rule where if a player hits for a cycle and you lose money back or a no hitter rule where a pitcher pitches a no hitter money back. Well the team I had bet on lost 30-3 I believe the score was which is still the record for biggest win ever in a game.

8 team MLB Parlay for my last 20$ in my account to win a couple thousand last game of the day marlins yankees Marlins up 7-2 bottom of the 9th end up allowing 6 runs I end up losing 8-7 SMFH

3 years ago or 4 when Warriors had won like there first 50 games or whatever it was they were playing the bucks. Bucks were up by like 18 at half and only -115 at the time bet 100$ on the bucks to win the game and they end up losing by double digits LOL

It was almost 8 years ago when I lost $400 on Anderson Silva when he was playing around against Chris Weidman and got knocked out, and another $400 in their rematch when he broke his leg...

$400 is a lot in 2021, but 8 years ago it was so much more. That's part of what made me take 4 years off from betting on MMA, and instead I only played DraftKings and the other daily fantasy company that got bought out by DraftKings. I was in the process of finishing university, and I didn't have time to research fights, so I forced myself to take a long break, which I mentally wouldn't have been able to do if I was in my early to mid 20s (I learn more about the traps of betting as I get older, which is why I'm not in a hole anymore like I was when I was a young bettor).

Easily my bet when I was 21 years old on Evander Holyfield vs Tyson (first fight). There wasn't online betting (crazy how different stuff was in 1996), but there was a bookie that took bets on football and basketball at the bar that I worked at (he also ran the parlay cards there). I asked him if he'd take a bet on the Tyson fight. He said he would but didn't know the odds and he'd have to check. He comes back and says Tyson is 20-1 so I'd need to bet $200 to win $10. I told him I wanted to bet Holyfield and he laughed and asked "are you serious?" I asked would I get 20-1 that way but he told me he could only give 15-1 because that's "how it worked". I didn't care that much and gave him $100 on Holyfield. That was a LOT of $ to me back then.

Watched the fight with buddies, they all were telling me how I'd pissed away $100 up until Holyfield was putting it on Tyson. I kept trying to tell them before the fight why I thought Holyfield could win but all I got back was how stupid I was.

$1500 isn't a big deal to me now, but honestly I've never felt as rich as when that bookie put those 15 Benjamin's in my hand. And then he told me he was never taking any boxing bets again LOL.

First time betting on UFC. Didn’t know odds, parlay and all them mumbo jumbo. Got spanked hard!!

Decided to learn and everything was history

My first bet on MMA, had been watching for years but never been a gambling man

Werdum was 5/1 to beat Cain and i was high on Werdum

Put 20 quid on as I was a poor ass student and the rest is history

That high of winning that much money when I was broke as a joke was the spark which made me into the degenerate gambler I am today

Need Aljiman Sterling to be the last win on a 4 fight +800 parlay. Watched him get his ass kicked for a while and thought “well shit so close”

Then he took that knee. And it was about a minute in before my lightbulb went off that “wait, if he doesn’t continue, he could get the win!”

won 200 bucks lol

Lol I actucally got fucked badly the following event liek people on this forum know how I do a lot of parlays like just throw in radnom fighters and random over unders usually do about 20 of them an event. I had an 8 teamer dont remeber exactly who but all I know I had anders and edwards in the parlay to win like idk 1200 I think not exactly sure. after the anders fight since it was a no contest payout drops to about 800 sure enough no contest in edwards fight so a 6 teamer for like 390 SMFH lol

De La Hoya vs Oba Carr Vegas. I bet 10k on DLH by KO....then he broke his left hand in the 1 st round (could have been 2nd, it's been a bit). I watched in pain for 10 rounds when he just out boxed Oba round after round. Then in round 11.... Bam Hook from Hell... Later that night I was picking up some coin.... Also I had bet Holyfield by KO in Tyson in the rematch. When the bite happened, I didn't know the rule... I got paid as the bet is officially something like inside the distance..... Both worked out for me, but the DLH bet was the bigger bet.

What part of Bakersfield you from better not say Oildale or Rosedale both are trash Just 1 in white poor trash other is rich white trash LOL just joking but what part for real?

Been on the wrong end of so many last second finishes.

Ankalaev vs Craig
Edwards DEC vs Sobotta
Zombie vs Yair
Volkov vs Lewis
Overeem vs Rozenstruik

Recently hit Dawson ITD +900 vs Santos in the last second, so on its way to evening out haha.

Lol I've been on the wrong side of multiple illegal knee DQ's in recent years

Greg Hardy vs Allen Crowder
Michel Pereira vs Diego Sanchez
Petr Yan vs Aljamain Sterling

Pereira & Yan were both about -2500 in live odds going into the rounds they got DQ'd too which definitely stings

Andrew Sanchez vs Ryan Janes

In the first round Sanchez was absolutely demolishing Jane’s with vicious ground and pound to the point where the fight should have been stopped. With about 45 seconds left in the first round Janes got up and was surprisingly looking fresh while Sanchez was showing signs of gassing.

between rounds Jane’s was +8000 for ITD. I bet $25 and in the 2nd round Janes dominated Sanchez and finished him early in the 3rd for a $2k payout.

I also made a small bet on college football for the drive to end in a punt. The odds were +150 or something like that. During the drive the team punted so I checked my account to make some more bets. I noticed that they still had odds of +4000 for that drive to result in a punt. I bet $50 and it paid me out.

Those stick out the most to me.

yessss I had $500 on aljo at +143 and was screaming for him to stay down after that knee!!

My other one was Anderson Silva vs sonnen 2 I had a bookie and since it was credit decided to take Silva at -300 for $1200 to win $400. I figured it wouldn’t be a sweat and sonnen was outmatched and couldn’t possibly dominate like he did for 4 rounds In the first fight. So that first round was baaaad I started to worry but then Silva came out early in the second and took care of business. I remember I was down the shore with my wife’s family watching it on a illegal site outside on the deck by myself on a laptop. It was a long time ago and if I had lost it would have taken me a bit to get the money together In a week when we settled up.

I also dropped a couple hundred on Ben hendo vs Edgar 2 and probably shouldn’t have won that one but I’ve been on the wrong end of plenty of garbage decisions so all good.

So obviouslt not a big payout but since youre talking about bets that already happened but the line was still up there very first fight of the Garbrandt Font event. the fight was Imagulov vs Alves fight ended about a minute ago so I was walking up to the machine in Vegas to place a bet and noticed they still had the odds up for the fight but not the props I placed all the money I had on me like 400$ on Ismagulov I got paid out but not much lol but hey free money is free money If I recall odds were -600

Free money is my favourite type of money.

Most memorable for me are typically where I was very wrong on one side and bet too much or very right on one side and didn't bet enough. The two that came to my mind the quickest are:

Right side: Story over Nelson somewhere near +250 when I favored Story
Wrong side: Nam Phan over Hettes probably near -250...embarrassing

Probably my favorite betting night was Tate over Holm followed by Diaz over McGregor

Volkov vs Lewis

I will never ever get over this one. Had 7.5u on Volk.

I bet the cardinals to win the WS in 2011 before the last game of the regular season, which they had to win to even make the playoffs. Believe it was +1200. When Freese hit that walk off HR in game 6 I legit lost my fucking mind.

Oh and a more recent one which was absolute garbage..nfl draft over 4.5 outside linebackers so there were 3 drafted until the last two picks which were listed as olb on all sites making the total 5 In the first Round but the fact that goodell announced them as edge rushers they were considered to be defensive lineman. This particular sportsbooks policy was it goes off of whatever goodell announces even though the graphics that followed listed both guys as outside linebackers. I fought it and was told that no matter what spin i put on it the bet Would stand as a loss hahahaha.

My first bet I ever did, did a five fight main card parlay for UFC 113. Bet $12 and won $423:

-Alan Belcher
-Matt Mitrione
-Jeremy Stephens
-Josh Koscheck
-Mauricio Rua

Bet on Marius Zaromskis against Nick Diaz. I was so high on Zaromskis coming over from Dream in Japan and got him at +210 and was so excited like I had some insider knowledge. He proceeded to get smashed in the first round....lol then I done 2 more revenge bets against Nick Diaz. First K.J Noons and he got schooled and then Paul Daley. If anyone remembers the Daley fight man I dont think Ive ever suffered such an extreme high to an instant rock bock bottom gut wrenching sickness in all my life! I stopped betting against Nick Diaz just left him the fuck alone.

On the other side most memorable for me was 2 seperate fights both of them involving Ronda Rousey getting her ass whooped. First I picked Holly by KO/TKO cant remember the odds but im sure they were big. and the biggest bet to date which was 10k (around +200) on Amanda Nunes against Ronda. Was so sad she retired after that...
