I like the idea of both guys defending in their respective divisions at least a couple more times against new opponents before any rematch. I might be in the minority but I found the first fight oddly satisfying in the way both fighters came out looking spectacular. They both looked like winners.

Neither of those guys are going to be ready after 291. If that fight is anything like the last, they'll both need medical suspensions.

Doing it now still feels too soon, Islam still hasn't fought any other 155er since fighting Volk, the guy is painfully innactive

There's literally nothing to gain for either of them. I agree, it'd be a good fight but there's nothing at stake. If Volk fights anyone at LW ,outside of Islam, it will be Poirier/Gaethje for the BMF strap.
