I don't see a problem with the result but a lot of people do, including Maldonado's camp. So I would like to see a rematch, in a neutral country, with international judges. I would also like Fyodor to do a proper, top-level camp at a proper, top-level gym and come in with a sensible gameplan ie not stand and bang with a 24 and 0 pro boxer but get the TD and go for GNP or a sub. That should satisfy everyone including the naysayers and killing two birds with one stone it would show what 100% Fyodor is still capable of.

Overturned, then Fedor to the UFC with a good camp against a rubbish opponent.

I don't see any reason it should be overturned. Yes, it was probably a BS decision and should have been a draw, or even a win for Fabio, but when do decisions ever get overturned based on bad judging? Maldonado didn't stop Fedor, that's the real issue here. Sure, in the US on Fox, that fight probably would have been stopped. But was Fedor ever 100% out? Obviously not, which is further evidenced that he came back to win the 2nd round and perhaps even the 3rd. How does the saying go? Don't leave it in the hands of the judges. This is yet another example of that.

Fabio beat him up for like 3 minutes but that's all he did. The first round is closer than a lot of people think. I'm not saying Fedor won but I don't see a reason for a 2 point round. Fedor won 29-28.

Wow that's legitimately the craziest I've ever read the first round was close? Really?

yes he won it via a 10-8 round not a bullshit 10-9
Majority of the judges didn't think so and nether did I. I had Fedor winning the first minute and 15 seconds easily and the last minute or so of the first round was close to call. Fabio beating him down for 3 minutes could constitute a 2 point round but not if he loses the other 2 minutes. If he would have kept his onslaught for another 30 seconds then maybe it's a 2 point round.

It's true. All Fabio did was give Fedor a severe beating for three minutes. It was hard to watch and there were a few moments where the ref could have justifiably stopped it, but it was only three minutes. And Fedor looked a bit better than Fabio during the other two minutes, so it was a pretty close round overall.

should just leave it. lets face it,its not like maldonado gave the performance of his life out there.

overturned to a No Contest, not interested in a rematch
