What would be your ideal weight class system in the UFC?

looks like someone wants fighters to die. jeez. some ppl have no brains
The way things are going now, someone is going to die.

I want these guys to stop cutting weight.

Fighters cut to get the advantage.

Cutting big with no recovery time would disadvantage.

The problem with the weight cutting debate is that the people who have thought it through the least have the most to say.

Most of the time when people think they have a simple answer to a complex problem they just haven't worked out the flaw in their idea because that requires thought/research/nuance etc

Some of these divisions would be very thin, but I don't care
These suggested weight ranges seem pretty intuitive. Why has it not been done this way already?

I wouldn't change the weightclasses, but I would find a way to eliminate weight-cutting / dehydration games

I really don't overly care what the specific weights are. It'd be nice to have a requirement that every fighter has to be within 10% of their normal walkaround weight instead of blowing up matches due to failed cuts.

Dunno but definitely insert something between LHW and HW, even if it's kiddie pool shallow.

System huh? I'd probably be like "eat less, fatty!" Then they wouldn't have to cut so much weight in camp. It's not much of a system but I'm old school.

No cap at HW, 65 and 75 instead of 70. Bring back Franklinweight (195)

I’m pretty sure 80% of heavyweights could make 225

Aspinall could.

We were wondering if he could make 205 but that would be a huge cut and might come with issues.

I looked up all of his weights on weigh in's and he's usually above 260 or above.

225 he could make for sure and the weight class would prevent weird matches like Brock Handy where a guy looks at least 3 weight classes above the other.

Yeah but that’s my whole point — there’s very few fighters these days who cut to 265

, blame Dana for drug testing and shit pay

Given the current ufc roster who does 225 even benefit?

250+ (no limit)

Also no immediately title shots at other weight classes regardless of GOAT status in the fighter's active weight class to prevent weight hopping and fucking up divisions.

If we start adding more weight classes you best be ready for significantly more "super fights" and guys vacating their belts without defending them to go for double champ status.
