Herzog is a G. he made the perfect call. i usually dislike him and i initially didn't notice the fence grab and thought it was an early stoppage like he usually does. but he was on point, he made the right call. i'll give him benefit of the doubt from now.

Tall boy potentially robbed Black Beast of a legit finish. Herzog can give Black Beast a win by DQ to cause less confusion to the uneducated but instead gave Black Beast a TKO because why not.

point deductions should be for non fight ending sequences, the foul was during a potential fight ending sequence

Wait for a clear break in the action and assess penalty. The rules make it clear that’s what the referee is supposed to do in the event of a foul. They don’t assess it as part of a finishing sequence.

It almost looked like he was going to do something about a fence grab then was in an awkward situation because he stepped in at the moment a finish could be finalized so made a reactionary decision and stopped it instead of taking a point. I'm fine with it though. I know there is nothing in the rules to call it a finish if arguably the fence grab is the only reason he survived but ignoring that it's fair and I'm fine with it. Not like they obey the rules anyways so looking at the situation outside the rules cheating shouldn't save you when a guy is emptying the tank to finish you. Imagine how annoying it would be if that ended in Lewis losing because he Herzog the fight and took a point then Texiera had 4 more rounds to catch up on points with Derrick trying to get energy back.
