In UFC, if you watch some fights, there are fights that gets stopped just because a fighter get stucked against the bottom of the cage and there's a fighter that's pounding away on top, EVEN THOUGH it looks like the fighter isn't defending himself 'intelligently' for whatever that may mean, but he insn't necessarily look hurt, though it does happen.

I mean, Stipe is fighting soon, and when Stipe got Ngannou stuck underneath him against the cage, he was fish outta water. But, there are lots more fights where a fighter seem to get stuck underneath against the cage, and even though he's not really hurt or out of the fight...

So, what would be the best way to get up when stuck agains the cage? I don't know what it is, it looks like some fighters just are better at getting up but some others can't in the UFC.

Please repeat the question. Its not clear at all.

I've seen guys use half butterfly sweeps, or a foot on the hip to push off, just enough to create space.

It's not an easy spot to get out of though, especially with someone raining punches or elbows down on your dome at the same time.

Politely ask your opponent to let you up. That's probably the best way. I don't know how effective it is though.

Cutting a hole in the cage with bolt cutters would seem effective.

At the very least, it would be the most gentlemen thing to do.

Thats MMA for ya, some dudes suck at getting up to their feet, some dudes cant be held down (mostly wresters). It is a skill that needs refined in the practice room, working off the fence whether standing or on your back/knees. Those that lack this skill will get exposed by superior wrestlers that favor control/position over submission attempts.
