Common thought right now is a striker with great TDD beats Khabib after tonight....... Well Prime Aldo was one of the greatest strikers and one of if not the greatest TDD around. Granted this is far from PRIME Aldo right now but IMO he still has great striking and world class TDD at his age.. I mean Aldo's chin kinda sucks right now , and his stamina isn't what it was ............. but he can go 2 rounds.

I know Kahbib tries to bull rush him to cage to take him down as thats only way he gets a TD. But Aldo still has 1 great round in him..

Who takes this if it would happen? Granted it would only ever happen as a last minute replacemtn type thing but if if if...
 
Id say Max is the real looser here, he would have destroyed male Ronda there tonight.
 
Prime Aldo would have killed Khabib in the 3rd

Current Aldo gasses after defending two takedowns and gets tkod in the second
 
Khabib takes him down a few times in the first 2 rounds and Aldo becomes a complete gassed out zombie. Khabib starts turning his face into hamburger and ref stops the fight.
 
Aldo had great TDD at FW because he was fighting FWs. Khabib is a WW fighting at LW.
 
Aldo is in his prime now, max and conor were always better fighters.
 
Prime Aldo is the best matchup below WW to beat Khabib.

He's too small, has nothing for Khabib. Ortega & Max are interesting fights though, i'm sure if Max beats Ortega he will ask for the Khabib fight next.
 
Hard to say. I don't think Jose is as durable or gritty as Al. I think khabib just needs to get him down once to sap his will and then work from there.

Khabib needs to set those low singles up better against him though. Jose was always good at turning and slipping out like Al was doing.
 
Aldo is in the twilight of his career now so I would put my money on Khabib.
 
Aldo has those dangerous knees that can turn takedown attempts into KOs but that's his only chance.

I think Khabib would piece him up on the feet bc Jose would be too concerned with TDD, as he should be.

It would be a close fight, but Khabib is a similar size to UFC WW's. Does anyone think he would have a snowballs hope in hell against Woodley?
