What will life be like in 2020?

We best have VR p0rn AND AI controlled robot sex dolls!

We will have VR online forums so we can finally "meet." My avatar will be a 6'6 yoked Brazilian dude though.

Pick one:

A. Flying cars
B. Post apocalypse
C. Robot porn
D. Smart toasters

Dude. 2017 bro.

more ghettos, less money, more diversity, straight into the third world, just as scheduled

Thats 2 years away dummy

Shit will be the same unless trump and kim jon blow the world up

They will probably be selling 8k tv's and iphhone will be on 13 or 14

A better question be what will life be like in 2040 when the water starts to run out for a lot of people

You all think we are in some safe bubble. In 20 years a lot is going to change with natural resources....

- US dollar in a massive decline. (Not because of Trump, because of mismanagement and overprinting by Fed Reserve.)
- Cryptocurrency and blockchain economy begins taking it's place.
- Previously hidden technologies just now coming out. Including alternative energy tech that will eventually replace oil/gas industries for many applications.
- Grand solar minimum finally kicks into gear to dispel the global warming hoax once and for all.
- Coldest winter's in recorded history taking place globally. (mini ice age begins)

The blockchain and cryptocurrency become truly mainstream - at the expense of fiat money and traditional stock markets.

Radical life extension technology makes breakthroughs that make us question the very nature of mortality, people like Aubrey de Grey are taken much more seriously.

Self driving cars start becoming commonplace on city roads.

Personal home robots start taking their place in mainstream society.

Automation becomes exponential, human jobs start disappearing at an alarming rate - the need for concepts such as Universal Basic Income becomes evident.

Massive breakthroughs in AI and machine learning, leading to debate over how we prepare for the coming of true artificial general intelligence (and for the first time in a long long time, not being the number 1 species on the food chain).......and whether we can circumvent the existential threat risk this poses.

The hyperloop project starts bearing fruit.

Trump and his family have been incarcerated (this is more of a hopeful one).

Teleportation portals will be ubiquitous. We will have total control of time and space. (I'm from 2020.)

I like all your predictions except on Trump, you are misguided there. Anyway, life extension tech is already here. Research C60 (carbon 60) which can double lifespan in conjuncion with a general healthy lifestyle.

Thanks. How exactly am I misguided on Trump though?

Do you not see the same narcissistic, senile, racist, and unethical fool that I do? People like that usually end up getting held to account.

And regarding life extension and your C60 point, looked into it but as I suspected, this has been tested on mice/rats like many other things have. The move to humans via human trials is a huge step to take, and we are nowhere near that yet. In fact, reverse ageing in human cells in a petri dish in a lab is the closest we have gotten to that. And still, no full human trials yet.

So basically my prediction is that we will specifically get to human trials by 2020, clinically proving radical life extension is possible on human subjects.
