What will happen once China's Yuan replace the US Dollar and becomes the international currency of the future?

It's not going to happen anytime soon. There isn't enough faith in it as a currency since the Chinese government manipulates the value so much.

They are already starting to trade oil w/ the Yuan. The fact that people around the world need dollars to trade oil creates a demand for dollars, so if that goes the dollar gets weaker

I thought the currency of the future was supposed to be bitcoin

I and my children will be long dead by the time that happens so who cares.

The US GDP is 20%-25% of the planets GDP.

As long as that is the case we need not be overly concerned about the value of the dollar.

OK. The dollar can still lose purchasing power. Not saying that that alone it would crash the system or anything

Won't happend, due to China being an authoritarian nation which manipulates its currency and monkey's with the economy and fudges figures.

There are numerous benefits and drawbacks to the dollar losing value as well as increasing value.

The high value of the dollar is one of the reasons we are importing so much now. as opposed to spending domestically.

What is made in America now?

We could see the dollar fall which could encourage more industry in the US while China becomes more of a consumer oriented economy. The weaker dollar would help emerging markets across the globe. The corporations would get what they wanted which is billions of new consumers.

Doesn't really matter much. In 2005 they stopped pegging the value to the dollar because they wanted to devalue it. Chances are it won't ever surpass the value of US dollar on it's own.

Just tells me I need to start investing in the Renminbi if it does start rising dramatically.

Hahh then Yuan stores will replace dollar stores!

Dollar Store Blahh blahh

Yuan? Dollar Store lah!!
