What will Conor look like come 10th July

Comes in with some hair on his head, and no hugs.

He'll be good..

Come out thinking he is prime Ali with hes boxing then tire and get smoked after 2 rounds but not before trying to panic wrestle before getting dropped again.

Idk Dustin was getting pieced up until Conors leg gave out in the 2nd, I think k Conor should have finished Dustin when he hurt him but he never followed up. Either way I expect a great fight, fan of both but I think Conor takes it again, he looked too good and will even better once he fixes his mistakes he made.
It was relatively close. Nobody was getting priced up, up until the finish. I hope for a good fight. That’s all.

As a fan of good fights I’m hoping for the best performance of his career but I’m afraid he’s going to look slow and defeated after the first 7 or 8 minutes

He will be laughing to the bank with his pot of gold tho.

It's going to be bad, Dustin is going to force Conor to make some tough decisions. Do you tap to strikes before it gets too bad, or do you say fuck it and take a bad KO loss, or do you shoot after saying the first one to shoot is a dusty bitch?

I think Conor is going to go out there and give his best, he will hold his own for about 8 minutes or so. But Dustin is just better all around, it wasn't just the leg kicks.

This fight will end how Dustin wants it to end, he can be merciful and choke Conor out when he shoots, or he can really make this ugly and get some revenge.

The only chance Conor has is to play possum, force Dustin to come forward and expose his chin, then maybe he can land a one punch counter KO. Use Dustin's confidence against him, but literally the instant Dustin rocks him, takes him down, lands a brutal low kick, makes him miss, aggressively clinches him, or just gets out of the first round, etc. The fight is effectively over, Conor will have to be perfect and it's not realistic.

I fully expect Conor to land his own calf kicks in this fight, but all of that will only serve to gas him out a bit quicker, he still has to fight 25mins and Dustin knows it. There's just no real way Conor can win outside of a hit behind the ear or an in fight injury. Either he goes all out round 1 and leaves himself open to counters(which can end in disaster), or he takes the Diaz 2 approach and holds his ground with leg kicks and counters(for what? 2-3 rounds max?). Scenario 1 he has a 5 minutes to finish Dustin, then he's toast. Scenario 2 is useless if he can't actually follow through with the gameplan, yea maybe you win 2 rounds, but now you have zero chance of finishing dustin and he's coming for your head the last 3 rounds.

If this was 3 rounds Conor could pull it off, but because he wants PPV points and has to fight 5 he's screwed. Should take a co-main spot and do a 3 rounder, find a champion to headline. Hell you could argue that should've been the way the original fight was structured. His star power will work against him and he'll have 10 minutes to win, when has Conor even showed the ability to move forward and finish someone with one or two shots? Let alone in the modern LW division? Conor needs to hold his ground and pull a Romero, force Dustin to abandon his gameplan and make a
If he starts the fight trying to pressure and land a KO shot, it'll be a very sad night for him because that's exactly what Dustin planned for last fight, and is currently planning for this fight. Been waiting to get better odds on Dustin, the embedded episodes should swing money toward Conor. We didn't even see the best version of Dustin in the second fight, that's the most terrifying part for Conor and his team.

He'll be in the best shape of his life. His physique has never looked this good...

I disagree with the calf kick. Conor won't throw them. He doesn't kick well enough or fast enough to do it vs Dustin. That's why Conor isn't a leg kicker at all, he uses teep kicks, spnning back kicks, snapping roundhouses, wheel kicks, hook kicks, etc. His shins aren't conditioned for it and he doesn't have muay thai style leg kicks. That's why he was limping after Diaz 2 fight just from throwing a few kicks in the 1st round. He may throw it by instinct if he gets kicked and it hurts him, like he did in the rematch vs Dustin. But he won't be effective at all trying to out leg/calf kick Dustin.

Dustin is the favorite in the fight, Conor has to make a lot of changes in order to win. Not sure how seriously he's training or what new skills he's adding, but if he just thinks of using the same strategy and hoping for TKO/KO early on again he will lose. For some reason I feel they think he was close to stopping Dustin and just needed to connect a few more times and the fight was a lot closer than people make it out to be. If that is their thinking I don't see the trilogy fight playing out differently than the rematch. I'm not sure if they understand all the necessary changes that are needed for Conor to win, since they weren't ready at all for Dustin's fighting style in the rematch. That shows a complete lack of understanding of Dustin's fighting style, techniques, and strengths. Which means a lack of understanding on how to properly prepare for that type of fighter.

I like both fighter. I’m hoping for a competitive bout. Conor needs the win more in my opinion.

But Dustin certainly seems to be the guy with more paths to victory. What can Conor do to him? Sure he can knock him out. We’ve seen it before and Conor has the type of speed and timing. But Dustin ate big shots from Conor quite well in their last fight. And conor has shown he does not have the conditioning to bring that type of threat deep into a fight when he is against a cardio machine.

When you’re only really realistic way to win is to stop the guy in the first ten minutes, that’s not that encouraging. Dustin can put Conor away with strikes. He can outgrapple him. He has the conditioning and durability to drop early rounds and then turn the fight around completely.

Conor is in a damned if you do, damned if you don’t scenario here. Go for broke early and you very well might put him away. But if you don’t, like their second fight, you’re compromised, depleted and a sitting duck to a guy like Poirier.

But if you fight measured and pace yourself over five- well Dustin’s got better cardio and will likely have a higher output and still be the fresher guy going into 4 and 5.

Conor has the tools and the talent but Poirier has them as well and more pathways to victory.

If this bout goes pass the 2nd round, Poirier has the higher percentage of winning the fight, given he has been in tough fights deep in the championship rounds and still showed enough toughness, endurance & cardio to keep fighting to never give up. Conor in the other is a front runner and is very very dangerous early on with his pressure & power in his left. I think Conor gets finished again just being due to Poirier being much more diverse in his Arsenal of attack. Those first rounds will be telling and tough for both of them. I got Poirier, but would not be surprise if Conor wins by Tko or KO in the early going, Conor better hope for that because I don't think he has the strength/conditioning to be dangerous after the 10minute mark.

Don't forget he switched up and thought he was an Olympic wrestler as he went to shoot for the double but landed into Dustin's right hand

Keep the distance, aim for the chin, get the judge's nod.... Classic Conor McGregor is back.

Can't understand why there's so much hate towards Conor.

I'm not a fan but he's definitely a good fighter and I pick him to win the trilogy.

My interest in Conor has been renewed after watching this EPIC video however, some great mindset tips :
