Cat got beat up by Miesha, and yes a very impressive turnaround to come back in the final round

Then Cat got absolutely smashed by Nunes in the 1st round... how the ref didn't stop it is beyond me. Nunes gassed herself out smashing Cat from full mount for 4 minutes... then Cat came back to win.

Lots of love and respect for Cat's heart, but after that Nunes fight Cat was never the same again. She said that her pituitary gland was swollen from the beating she took, and couldn't drive her son around for months. Also said she swelled up all over big time, due to the hormonal imbalance she got from being beat up that badly by Nunes. She said specifically that she felt very scared, because she was a single parent at that point and really couldn't do much for her son cause she was in that bad a shape.

So, this bullshit that Cat was on the way to being champion before Ronda stopped her, is bullshit.
Cat was in all kinds of hell after fighting Amanda Nunes, and you know what- perhaps looked for a quick way out in the Ronda fight as to take as little punishment as possible... I'm not saying that that is the case, but I wouldn't blame her if it was since getting beat up to the point of having a swollen brain is fucking scary... especially more so when you're a single parent.

Doesn't make any sense; she was undefeated and one fight away of the biggest payday of her life. She might not have been in the best condition, but she just wasn't smart, not to mention she likely didn't have the best coaching. Before the fight, she had an interview where they asked her if she had been seeing Ronda's fights to prepare (for armbars and stuff) and she said she had not, as she wanted to focus solely on herself. After the fight, she said she thought of the knee as a way to surprise Ronda, and it suggested it was something she had came up with in the fight, without any preparation whatsoever.
