I own three gis. A cheap brand that I've been training with for the past month (it's the only one I've trained with), a Vulkan Pro Light (received yesterday in the mail) and a Venum Power Gi (gift given to me recently). The Vulkan's collar is light and durable/ flexible, whilst the Venum collar is more sturdy and tough. I recently made the transition from nogi to gi and my first gi competition is coming up. I was wondering which of the two collars would it be easier to get choked out with?

    Thanks.

Probably the more sturdy one would amount to more pressure, I don't think there is a huge difference though.

    Awesome!

I find thick stiff collars the hardest to do collar chokes with.

    Competition Judogi's are the worst!
