pihole is so nice.using rpi4 as pi-hole, nas at the moment(maybe jellyfin shortly). Kid has pi 400 for his computer. Thumbdrive to boot into retro-pie for retro gaming with some snes style controllers. Ordered an orange pi zero 3 to use as my htpc
Just wait a bit and jump to Pi 5.Don't know much about the Rpi4 but i hacked my kids Arcade 1up with a Rpi3 and RetroPie with hundreds of arcade games. Might be out for Rpi4.
He is content with RetroPie with the Pi 3. If it ain't broke, dont fix it. Nah mean?Just wait a bit and jump to Pi 5.
When he sees people playing Dreamcast, N64, PS2, he'll wish he got Pi 5. I'm glad I skipped Pi 4.He is content with RetroPie with the Pi 3. If it ain't broke, dont fix it. Nah mean?
I don't see too much point in them besides compact emulators or for mech/robotics applications.
Make a home automation project or something, that stuff is usually fun, and then you end up with something maybe useful.
Throw it in the trash and invest in something better.
I had the raspberry pi 4 in my first arcade cabinet, still do, but I had to upgrade it ever so slightly.
For my newest arcade cabinet, I put in a 16 TB Hyperspin. I love it way more.
Really nice right now. Mid-70s for the high today. It's gonna creep up into the low-90s by the weekend though. How's the weather in Las Vegas?
That sounds like utter hell.the low-90s
yeah, for a lot of folks, that's too much. For us, it's the start of a cool down. Hopefully the 90s will be done here in a few weeks. That sounds like utter hell.
pihole is so nice.
Can absolutely recommend installing pi-vpn (my preference is wireguard rather than openvpn) alongside it.
