Looks like I really need to see black panther.

Hope they don't let the skin colour of the cast bump up their scores.

Well yeah but The Last Jedi got 91% from critics on Rotten Tomatoes, so...

LOL!

Since when have critics ever shown special disposition to black movies or movies with all black casts? If anything, it''s the opposite. Tyler Perry is the most succesful black filmmaker of the last 20 years. His films feature majority black casts. Not a single one of the films directed by him has a fresh score on Rotten Tomatoes. Critics show his films no favor because of his black casts.

Critics by and large don't give a damn if a cast is mostly black, and it's not some sort of added benefit. I'm guessing BP is getting the reviews it's getting because Coogler is a proven filmmaker (so it's probably a legit excellent film if you go by his track record), and critics eat up any shit Marvel shovels.

Also sound like a Marvel film that's not sticking to the fun n' jokes "forumla" and can be taken a bit more seriously, like The Dark Knight

Wasn’t too big a fan of spider man. It was good but not in my top 7.

Civil War wasnt nearly as good as Winter Soldier.

The score on Black Panther will drop with time, everything premieres to ridiculous reviews.

Ive heard its good though.

Since Get Out was hyped out of proportion being a rehash of The Skeleton Key

You not hear about 'Get Out'?

Its a great horror film but strangely it's up for a bunch of Academy Awards which is almost unheard of for a modern horror and some think it's because of its majority black cast where all the white characters are villains.

Get Out is a fuckin great movie and way better than the pompous horseshit those other 3 guys did this year, so fuck off with the plight of the white man on this one.

The best movie of the year is "strangely up for Academy Awards". Jesus Christ

Winter Soldier >> All the rest

I can't believe Strange and Civil war are above WS. What a joke.

It was a decent movie, and its critical acclaim is due mainly to the racial angle of the film.

lmao @ best movie of the year

It's a great horror movie, but I didn't think it was any better than something like Sinister or IT.

Im guessing by your outraged tone you haven't seen the performance of any of the other best actor nominees.

Kaluuya is not on the same level as Denzel or Day-Lewis.

You like Captain America movies. Your opinion means fuck all.

And making a great film with a racial angle is more of a challenge than a benefit. Django and Training Day are "racial" movies, but that doesn't mean they're pandering to audiences or critics.
