I believe based on his last few fights, there is a different class of Silva now. Old Silva.

Old Silva is still very very dangerous, only in spurts. For a few seconds here, and few seconds there, you get glimpses of former brilliance, only to be overshadowed by an empty, hollow slower and less exciting Silva that refuses to engage.

Most experts expect us to see knocked out Silva

Remember how DC thrrew around Hendo? A legit wrestler i might add. Silva is gonna get man handled and rag dolled by Cormier. If you're a Silva fam this will not be pretty to watch. All of DC's frustration with JJ will be unleashed on Andy! DC 2nd round tko stoppage because Silva's corner will throw the towel in

No offense to Bonnar but I don't think that win was overly prestigious ....

Bonnar lost to Mark Coleman ..... no offense to Mark Coleman

And following he Silva fight Bonnar would lose to Tito Ortiz

No offense to Tito Ortiz
I didn't say it was, I'm just saying that I think we're going to see the type of Silva who is sort of "out to have fun". He will be relaxed and confident in what he can do because there won't be much at stake for him other than a personal challenge. That might be a very dangerous Silva, but what the hell do I know? No matter what I think Cormier is too much for him, but it will just be interesting to see how this fight unfolds.

If Anderson somehow manages to beat DC it will be because he has his full matrix game going. And Anderson fans will call him GOAT stating that is what makes him great, which is the way he wins.

If Anderson loses while going full matrix Anderson fans will Daniel deserves no credit for the win because Anderson was clowning.

It's called baiting, and Silva does it to get his opponents to come forward, so he can employ counter-striking.

Since DC has a habit of moving forward and pressuring opponents, you probably won't see it, but it's not "clowning" or "dancing". It's a legit tactic that earned Silva the highlight reel accolades that he is known for.

I would say he does get a bit ridiculous and go overboard when opponents don't fall for it, but, just as in the first Weidman fight, the Chris DID fall for it, and was coming forward, over-extending and leaving his chin dangling front and center. The difference is that Silva didn't stagger his stance, which limited his trunk movement, and made it hard for him to slip the punch that Weidman KO'd him with.

Pay attention to Silva's feet, and Weidman's over-extension of the right hand - the fight game is a game of inches, and Weidman could of just as easily been another highlight level KO victim if Silva doesn't square his feet here:

Matrix Silva

Trappy Happy Silva as shown here....

Anderson has only done more JKD and Panantuken Filipino Boxing since then

At first a leaping long hook from DC will get in and he will be put down on his back.

Anderson best chance is if he can somehow survive and not get reffed stopped is a huge amazing 3rd round comeback flying Knee when DC shoots or leaps in with long hooks...........

Does he still have the timing to pull what he did on Newton and Bisping?

I don't think Anderson can help clowning a bit, as far as trying to bait his opponent, it's too much his style. I do think he'll go for the kill if he gets DC hurt a bit. He let Bisping off the hook twice and paid for it. This fight might bring out the best in Silva because when he fights guys like Bisping, he believes he can win at any time and doesn't take every opportunity seriously, but with DC, he knows it's kill oe be killed and any opening he has might be his only chance to win. No time for games.

This fight is more interesting than the JJ fight because we've seen that one and expect the rematch to be very similar, but now we get to see if a legend can step his game up against DC.

There's a third option besides clown Silva and serious Silva. It's the Silva that fought Bisping. He didn't goof much but also was not the sniper of old. This version will get taken down and pummeled.

Also people need to stop saying that kneeing Bisping in the chin was one of his old ninja moves. Bisping was half looking up from the ground.

He will kick and run for a while. After that, if Cormier puts him in dangerous situations, he will start to clown trying to not show that he is hurt. If Cormier make any mistake like Bisping did, he will land someting with bad intentions. If Cormier does nothing, this will look like Silva-Diaz, but with way less action.

Or maybe he will get knocked out before that, who konws...

We'll see the Silva who had no business fighting tonight
