I am very surprised he thought he could dictate the outcome when all these other people are also involved and just as talented. Even his buddy Merrab fought everybody for years before they gave him a shot, weird stuff.

Islam vs ilia is not that exciting anymore at 170 and actually I think many now don't even want to see it next. He is very good but now needs to just fight and own his division.. What changed? Islam was -300 against JDM. He looks good and bulked up nicely

Why would Topuria get a WW title shot at all? The division already has years worth of contenders who would knock his jaw into the 4th row. Prates and Morales would decapitate little Ilia, Garry would tune him up, Shavkat would sub him, Usman beats him, Brady probably smothers or subs him.

Ilia turned pro almost 11 years ago and has 17 fights. Beat Arman and Paddy Pimblett and then maybe talk about moving up again. Dude can't just fight once per year, leave every division as soon as a good wrestler is the next contender and keep getting favors.
