What should a fighter focus on when facing a fighter like Khabib?

What would be the optimal % distribution? e.g. 40% striking 40% wrestling, 20 jiu-jitsu or maybe 60% wrestling, 30% striking and 10% jiu-jitsu, etc

Just defend the takedowns. Still not impressed with Khabibs striking. He showed a solid jab, but that was about it.

TDD, striking and having insane cardio. Eventually Khabib will tire and turn into K1 Khabib. At that point let your hands and feet go and light him up.

Weird question but pretty much 100% avoid getting taken to the ground.

Tony will show you what you need to beat that guy.

being smelly

take some guidance from lindland

Footwork and general octagon awareness along with a good jab would go a long way. I like Khabib, but he's not the greatest at cutting the cage off—he'll literally run right at you and follow you around until he gets you. The answer for that is very good footwork and a sharp jab.

Obviously work on your TDD and getting up off your back, but the main goal should be your footwork and a jab so that Khabib doesn't get in on you at all.

Fortunately for Khabib, not many fighters at LW have good footwork, especially moving backwards. I'm not a conor fan, but he has the best footwork in that division right now, so he may be able to make Khabib pay.

50% striking. 50% fighting from your back. You got a punchers chance against him, he will take you down one way or the other.

They need to get the best chain wrestlers they can to prepare them.

I believe Lee stops the takedowns just like Tibau, and on the feet he´s gonna fuck Khabib up, with his better and more powerful striking (not a great striker by any means, but better and more powerful than Khabib).
He´s probably gonna take a while to get that TS.

Getting up off your back because he will get you down. Also jab and footwork. You need to make him uncomfortable on the shoot

Avoid circling with your back close to the cage like AL did.

RDA did it too against Colby who fights a similar 'push you against the cage style' that Khabib does. One of the reasons he lost.
