Footwork and general octagon awareness along with a good jab would go a long way. I like Khabib, but he's not the greatest at cutting the cage off—he'll literally run right at you and follow you around until he gets you. The answer for that is very good footwork and a sharp jab.
Obviously work on your TDD and getting up off your back, but the main goal should be your footwork and a jab so that Khabib doesn't get in on you at all.
Fortunately for Khabib, not many fighters at LW have good footwork, especially moving backwards. I'm not a conor fan, but he has the best footwork in that division right now, so he may be able to make Khabib pay.
