What movies have not aged well?

Sometimes I can visit movie website and in the search I look for the worst movies ever :D
But after watching I understand how BAD movie can be. That's quite funny

in most James Bond movies w/ Connery or Moore, and almost all Westerns...

dude's blatantly committed Sexual Assault

the old 'kiss you until you like it' move that Eastwood also routinely pulled out

I liked Heat for its time but I think Den of Thieves surpasses it in story, pacing, gun battles, but not acting.Even though I like Gerard Butler, 50 cent didnt even suck in this, he fit the role.

There is definately updated tactics here. Clinging to Heats shootout is definately a nostalgia thing for you guys. Especially coming from a timeframe standard.
the tactical shooting in Den of Thieves, without a doubt, surpasses Heat. The final shootout is the best filmed tactical shootout I've ever seen

it's like Heat if everyone in that movie was as dedicated at Val Kilmer

people that disagree either A) haven't seen it, or B) have never been in an IRL firefight

What?! I thought Bloodsport was one of those classics... the the Ferris Bueller's day off of martial arts.

Now Universal Soldier on the other hand is probably a whole dumpster fire.
the Dolph LUndgren grocery store PTSD freakout scene is absolutely incredible

but the rest, not so much

On a side note, one of the latter US releases directed by the original directors son, is straight up amazing. Not the one w/ Mike Pyle, the one after that

Look at this shit:

edit: Peter Hyam directed Sudden Death and Timecop, not Universal Soldier my bad. His son did direct US Day of Reckoning however

I'm gonna get some shit for this but...maybe Ghostbusters? I love it of course but I wonder how someone that has never seen it and especially a kid would react to it now? It's sense of humor is so different from practically anything. It's really not a kids movie but kids were drawn to it for some reason and it's not an overtly funny movie.

It takes a certain person to appreciate the dry and subtle humor. I think most people would just be bored by it nowadays.
I watched Ghostbusters for the first time 5 or so years ago and all I remember is that it was pretty forgettable. I really couldn't imagine why people consider it to be a classic movie with endless rewatchability but I guess it was a product of its time.

If you've ever seen Strike Back on Cinemax. They kinda surprised me with how well they perform IMT and cover fire etc. They must have had a real former Delta or Seal guy choreographing their combat scenes.

And that's the problem with older action shoot em up movies. They have Dale Dye being the Vietnam Dinasour choreographer for military stuff. But a lot of tactics have changed since then now they ARE hiring former SF to do all that and it shows even on generally shitty movies but they have excellent fight scenes.

Pretty forgettable?
That's got one of the most original, memorable stories of all. Until 2016.
Four guys start a business catching ghosts.

Well sure, if you put it that way.

What I mean is that the scenes in the movie and overall plot (was there really one?) did not make up a memorable experience, at least for me. I remember the Stay Pufft scene at the end and there was a demon dog or something like that? Hardly a pile of Kodak Moments for a classic IMO it's about as memorable as Spy Kids

The overall plot is that Bill Murray says funny things with a deadpan expression. There was a ghost and some table settings were smashed.

But the flowers are still standing!

E.T. is absolutely awful
The Goonies is just terrible
Young Guns is embarrassing

Why did anyone ever like these movies, I have no idea.

Also - Boss Ni***r probably wouldn't fly very far today.

Willow : Jesus Titty Fucking Christ this movie sucks! Again, I LOVED it as a little kid, but bloody hell is it boring and tedious beyond all belief. The special effects aren't terrible but the movie is slow to do anything, and there is so much unnecessary fluff that it makes it hard to watch today.
Disagree. I watched this recently because it I saw on Disney + . Not as great as I remembered it, but still good.
You type take that back about Willow you!! It’s still pretty darn good honestly imo..
I'm with you.
Every single van damme movie.
Bloodsport came on once, I told my eldest "watch this it's great".
My, how some things are best left in the past.....

Bloodsport might not hold up - not one of his i ever liked - but his films generally hold up.
I made my 16 year old son watch this with me, he loved it! Well, he loved the fights. We proceeded on to Lion heart.
The Austin Powers movies haven't aged well.
I was underway on an US Navy submarine and for some reason there was this Naval Officer from the Netherlands on board. Goldmember was playing in the crews mess, with the over-the-top disco villain with the fake dutch accent. Everyone was laughing except the polite Lieutenant in the funny uniform....

wait, somebody said Young Guns?

first of all, both the first and especially the second have some of the best scores EVER
second of all....ok those movies were pretty shitty in reality hahaha

weird story, the character that leads the rebels in Rambo III (Masoud), is based off the real life Ahmad Massoud
whom was killed two days before 9/11 on orders by Bin Laden

Anything from the 90s or 00s with CGI.

Think stuff like the mummy or blade end fight scene.

I rewatched Young Guns a few years ago, and was thoroughly embarrassed for my former youthful self. But hey, I was young and my brain was not fully developed.

Meh, I still don't deserve any slack.
