It seems like this actually might happen after all. Honestly, I don't see him competing with anyone on the current UFC roster much less Conor. There's even 135 women that would beat him under strict MMA rules. Unless this is some scripted BS money move by the UFC, Floyd is gonna get rekt like CM Punk.

1, doesn't happen
2, fights a below CM punk level fighter with no grappling history
3, McGregor with altered rules
4, McGregor

Unless it's CM Punk, I don't see money coming to MMA.

His ego is too big to risk being prison raped on live TV.

Which women would beat Floyd in MMA rules? This is one I am dying to hear. Please tell me you aren't one of those blinded types that thought Rousey would have her way with Floyd in an MMA match.

While I agree that pretty much any top 15 MMA male fighter in any weight class within a couple of steps of what Floyd will fight at (145 or 155 presumably) wins easily barring a flash KO, to think a 135 pound "WMMA" fighter could do much is a big stretch.

They crawl towards him, surprise leg kick, then use judo.

How can a boxer stop that?

Fight wouldn't make any sense with altered rules. Conor fought Floyd under strict boxing rules. Floyd should compete under the same guidelines or it's a waste of everybody's time.

I agree, but should? Based on what? A gentlemen's agreement?

I also don't think IMG is above selling out a bit of integrity for Mayweather to fight under their banner.

He'll do better than people think, if it happens. We see one dimensional specialists have success in MMA all the time, and we're talking about one of the best specialists of ALL TIME. He'll also be training takedown defense heavily for 6+ months before he stepped into the octagon. And they would only give him fighters with little to no ground game.

1. He will have his first kickboxing sparring in the gym and he will change his mind about this whole MMA thing

Cyborg, Meisha Tate, Holly Holm, Germaine Randemie just to name a few. Ground game bruh.

Ya that happens all the time in MMA... Floyd is literally the greatest boxer of his generation. Floyd would literally circle away and wait for them to stand up.

You do know ref's stand up fighters for inactivity on the ground right?

Which women fighters have great leg kicks again? Sounds like you are trying to create a hybrid fighter between Holm and Rousey. Rousey had virtually no leg kicks of any kind. Holm has no judo.

So which fighter again has all these incredible attributes of which you speak? Cyborg who is basically a striker? (and would likely outweigh Floyd in a fight). Holm? Again a striker with a terrible ground game? Nunes, again a striker.

Last I checked leg kicks are more of an attrition tool than a finishing tool. Pretty sure Floyd could eat a couple of dozen of them (especially from a woman fighter) before getting in 5 or 6 clean shots.

Holm and De Randamie have boxing and kickboxing backgrounds respectively. Where is this judo of which you speak?

Holm has zero sub wins

De Randamie has zero sub wins

Cyborg has zero sub wins

Tate had decent wrestling for a woman fighter but she would be taking down a guy who outweighed her by 20 pounds of pure muscle, proportionately stronger as well.

Cyborg is a standup fighter literally 99% of her fights.

Still waiting for this "judo" of which you speak

He might promote MMA but I don't see him fighting in MMA, and if he does I do not believe it will be in the UFC.

I never spoke of Judo...

If Floyd actually signs with the ufc he will never fight a wrestling or grappling specialist

They will give him fights he has a cha ce of winning to milk as much money from him as possible

They will probably pay his opponents extra to not grapple with him
