What is your advice to DC in this 2nd fight with Jones?

Head movement..he just kept walking into Jones punches, he did manage to eat them like pizza and manage to work forward and land a few uppercuts but he has to be a bit more elusive and quicker in closing the distance. Jones boxing is probably his weakest striking asset but against a 5'9" Cormier even with rudimentary boxing it's hard for him to get past that reach, he has to be able to outbox him if he wants to make the striking battle competitive.

I also don't recall him shooting all that much, no one is out wrestling Jones in the clinch but if he has shown a weakness in wrestling it's from power doubles/singles. Cormier has to set that level change and drive from a distance and get in super low under that lean lanky frame.

Easier said than done though, you can't learn Mike Tyson, Joe Louis or Tua style offensive boxing overnight and you can't just out wrestle Jones.

You think DC has a better shot against jones at striking range vs in the clinch?
It depends on where the clinch takes place. If it's up against the fence I give Jones the advantage. He just seems alot more comfortable near the cage. I thought DC outstruck Jones, his fat ass actually has much faster hands.

Last time DC was successful with the uppercuts on the inside in the first half of the fight . He needs to fight on the clinch and find some alternatives to that uppercut on the inside.

Interesting... I need to rewatch the fight, since I haven't seen it since the week it happened, but from what I remember, DC needs to push the pace a lot more than he did last time, if he wants to outpoint Jones on the feet. Circling and eating leg/body kicks isn't going to win a decision.
