People say not to be to strict because then they start to desire misbehavior even more. then they say don't be to lose because they will walk all over you. So where do you draw the line? whats the best method to raise a responsible kid?

let him be free, let the kid find his own way

Find something in your life that has turned out well, be it your dog, your favourite houseplant, or that project hot-rod in the garage. Duct tape your child to said example of success and watch it flourish.

I'm glad I'll never have to worry about this.

Well im strict but also fun with my son. That seems to work for me. My boy is top of his class at school and for his age at his MMA gym. I was kind of a fuck up as a kid but found a good median to your for him and its worked great so far.

Discipline and love them. Encourage them always. Give them the freedom to find their path, balance it with enforcement to keep their dreams productive if they go astray.

Be firm and honest and explain why something is right or wrong

Try to live a passionate life with goals, and aspirations. For yourself not just children, and they'll follow you.

By the way my 4 year old daughter just ran up, and sucker punched me in the jewels. What did I do?

Shot for the take down! She's very pretty but a total tomboy. My other daughter is a girlygirl. :)

I've never had a kid so I can't really tell you what's the best way to raise a kid with certainty. However, I think that it's best to try and be strict and honest with them until they start getting toward the 11 or 12 range. From there it really depends on each kid, you have to make judgement calls and learn from your good and bad calls as a parent. Try to treat them equally when they're in similar situations, but remember each one will be different and won't be treated exactly alike since they'll be in different situations. Above all else, try to be honest whenever possible with them and show them trust unless their actions do something to break that trust.

Lift with the legs and not the back.
