what is the counter to this move

Interesting... but that was a very sloppy double leg. It was really just more of a tackle; the guy put his head down, grabbed the legs, and pushed.

For a good shot you need to drop your level, meaning you bend your knees instead of your waist, bringing your center of gravity below that of your opponent. If your weight is below that of your opponent, it makes it very difficult for him to toss you over him like that.

You can do what is called a crotch lift as a last resort just before bailing out if you are wrestling, otherwise just recover guard if it is BJJ or MMA.

Do a proper double leg and that won't happen, as someone mentioned, that its mostly a self-defense throw in judo for someone who is trying to tackle you.

ok ill work on my posture and level change. thanks to you all!

Really just go in lower or attack from one knee.

Proper technique on the double. It's very difficult to hit that throw when your opponent is using proper double technique.

Especially when they hit a hard and fast double like some of my friends did during wrestling season.
At that point it's best just to learn how to sprawl and get some quickness in them reflexes.
