What is it with MMA fighters and painting their toenails?

Maybe it also has to do with the fact that MMA is such a masculine/macho sport that MMA (male) fighters want to let out their feminine sides; I don't know. I could never really get the nipple tweaking/pinching neither.

Some guys don't use noticeable colors but Hackleman's stable was known for being raunchy gays so they usually pick very extreme shades.

I know chuck liddell and mayhem use to do it and just noticed Arlvoski did it for the big foot fight as well. I never got why grown men decide to paint their toe nails. Is it too many shots to the head?

Just a theory, but magician Penn Jillette (of Penn and Teller) paints one of his fingernails and one of the reason he does it is to help with the misdirection used in his act.
I wonder if fighters use noticable colors for a similar reason (watch my foot while I punch you in the face).
