What is it? Kickboxing is bs because of Saki's loss or legit because of Israel Adesanya's success?

Lol, at all these people pissing on kickboxing because Saki lost. It's two different sports dummies, not everyone is going to be succesfull crossing over.

I personally think Saki looks a litte worn after a long career in fighting. I still hope he gets another chance, but it does look like he's isn't going to go very far in MMA.

1. Adesanya's striking defense is much better, and more MMA- oriented. Unlike Saki, he has great sense of timing.

2. Adesanya showed something totally unrelated to kickboxing in his fight with Tavares - excellent TDD

Sure, but I don't think you get the point I'm making.

It is one. Is the other. It is none. It is both. It is beyond your wildest infinite thoughts and not an experiment you can ever replicate with definite results.

Saki looked old and slow

Not the same guy we saw in K1

But its still a differnet sport and its too late for him to make big changes

I do get, I just added the real reason to their results in my opinion. Didn't intend to sound like I disagree with you.

BTW, that doesn't mean that kickboxing isn't shit...it still might be, from their performances. It's unrelated :)

People around here still don’t understand the concept of aging and primes.

This is absolutely unrelated.

And funny that you say that after seeing 39 year old man, worn out after being in full contact sports almost 20 years, win TWO WORLD titles.

In two of the weakest divisions we’ve seen in a long time.

Totally unrelated to what you said initially.
These weakest divisions still have young fighters in their prime.

The in between stage after crossing over can be tough to watch. All the technique is there, but timing and distance are off. Some adapt quicker than others. Makes sense it takes longer or won't happen the older one gets.

Sherdog is all hyperbole. It's either you're amazing or the worst and nothing in between.

Gonna make a bold claim here but stay with me...

It's the fight game, SHIT HAPPENS!!!!!!!

Adesanya has been fighting MMA just about as long as he has been kickboxing...

Izzy has evolved into a MMA fighter with a kickboxing background

Saki is a kickboxer taking some MMA fights

Just look at the MMA experience difference

Rampage could have made some waves, even though he didn’t throw kicks and didn’t check kicks.

Adesanya's has like 12 more MMA fights than Saki and it shows. He's been addapting his game for MMA for longer than Saki and it shows. He's like 7 years younger than Saki and it shows.

its not the style its the man. goki is a d-level fighter. KEBAB REMOVED.
