That have fans so turned off by him? A great champion with 7 title defenses and seems like a cool guy yet he's rarely mentioned. What's the deal?
 
a lot of people dont like the flyweights for some reason.
 
I was all on board until he referred to Kevin Randleman as a "young gentleman" and forgot his name immediately after he passed during a UFC top 5 video.
 
It's not just him, it's that entire division that most people don't really care about.
 
Even his chick wears heels in public. Everyone hates him.
 
People just don't respect the smaller guys.

There are plenty of guys who dislike the BW and FW divisions too.
 
No one in the division really grabs my interest. I don't really care for anyone below FW except Cruz and Barao.

I like the guy. Respectful, and business like. I like watching his fights, too. He dominates in the octagon. I'm a fan.
 
Honestly with flyweight I just feel like every fight is a guaranteed decision...they rarely finish each other.....
 
Only a couple guys from that division I actually follow. The rest of them I have no interest in. I've tried to sit and enjoy MM's fights but they never grip me and I usually forward them to the end result. I used to feel bad for him but now I couldn't care less as the ufc knows he isn't a draw but keeps placing him on main or co-main
 
MM doesn't have a gimmick and niether does anyone else at 125. No history, no rivalry, no charmisma in the entire division. He has to move up for anyone to really care.
 
He is just too little and he doesn't have a personality that drives you. His personality doesn't drive you crazy or drive you to action. He's a good guy he just isn't charismatic and again he is just so so small. I know intellectually that he can kick my ass but as I'm watching him I don't feel that viscerally.
 
I'm not sure what it is about him, but I personally don't like him inside the cage or out. He just bores me for some reason. I enjoy the flyweight division though. No doubt he's talented and number one at his weight. (Even though I though Uncle Creepy beat him the first go around.
