What is going to happen with WMMA with Amanda Nunes as the "GOAT"?

I don't get people, they complain about WMMA being a beauty and popularity contest, and then they don't support such a glorious just bleed priestess.
Mma fans a fickle sensitive bunch that bleat like whiny pigs whenever they are given exactly what they asked for

People whine about nunes being promoted, but she herself has said shes not interested in that.
Shes more of a dan henderson/robbie lawler type,so i dont know what you expect the ufc to do other than to show highlights of her fights.

Probably the same thing that has always happened to WMMA, at least in the modern era.

It will coast along on the back of regular MMA, with a majority mediocre fights/attention being mixed in with a handful of truly interesting and skilled fights along the way.

Nunes is a horrible draw. Even in her native Brazil - where they usually blindly support Brazilian fighters - only 10,000 showed up to watch her fight whereas most UFC events in the same arena do closer to 15,000.

The last four female title fights have featured 2 first round ko's and 2 second round ko's which left people wondering if they'd watched a death. It wasn't star making though because the UFC is all about the show, only occasionally do you have a Rousey or a Conor who is bigger than the show.

The UFC doesn't build up home town stars or inflate records with essentially fixed fights - that's boxing. Wmma is part of the show, sometimes exciting, sometimes boring, just like the guys. Maybe some native English speaker with a personality - sorry Rose - will come along and hit the mainstream (difficult enough when the mainstream is itself fragmented) but until then nothing doing on the star front.

Julianna Peña? Tatiana Suarez?

Right now they don't look too strong to be a champion, but maybe in the future, in some years?
