Supposedly McGregor is stripped when Toney and Kahbib step into the Octagon. Everyone here has said the champion keeps the belt when there's a draw. Under these circumstances there technically wouldn't be a champion if Mcgregor is stripped "the moment" the fighters step into the octagon.

UFC president Dana White confirmed to the Los Angeles Times that the promotion intends to strip McGregor, 29, of his 155-pound title the moment interim champion TonyFerguson and Khabib Nurmagomedov step into the Octagon at UFC 223 on April 7 in Brooklyn.

Who is this "Toney " you speak about, Sir?

The title doesn't move in a Draw. And if there was no champ already, or if it's for a vacant title, it would stay that way.

There won't be any draw.

The Eagle looms at large..

If Conor isn't stripped, then the fight is for the Interim Lightweight Championship and Tony would still be the Interim champ in the event of a Draw.

If Conor IS stripped, then Tony will be promoted to being the official Lightweight Champion, and would (again) still be the champ in the event of a Draw.

Either way, Tony is the one that'll be wearing gold going into the fight, and the one that'll be wearing it going out if the fight ends with no decisive winner.

Nothing. Title stays were it is. This also can happen when you’re a chickenshit and won’t defend your title.

They saw the belt in half and give each guy one part. Then the next guy has to fight both at the same time.
