What happens if you don't want to fight the official alternate?

Jon Jones is a fearless warrior. Its unbelievable that people imply that he is scared of Ngannou, or Pavlovich or any one at all

He has fought
-Shogun (champion)
-Rampage (champion)
-DC (champion + Olympic wrestler)
-Machida (champion)
-Rashad Evans (champion)
-Vitor Belfort (champion)
-Ciryl Gane after a 3 year layoff and at 35 (bad grappling, but deadly striker)

Also, he almost lost to Gus, and was hurt pretty bad from the first fight, and he still fought him in a rematch where he dominated

Sure, Francis hits harder but a lot of these guys are way more skilled and likely to give Jones trouble.

He wouldn't fight Chael on ten days notice when Jones original opponent Hendo got injured. So Jones pulled out and the card got cancelled.

I didn’t know jones got an injury and signed his contract a year ago. Do you have a link/source for that?
Not arguing but it is definitely interesting info. I visit mma sites every day and may have missed it or just forgot?

Francis got hurt. Not Jon think you misunderstood. Jon made the deal when Francis v Gane fight was set hoping to fight winner. Francis won and was injured then Francis was holding out.

Interesting. I can’t find anything about Jon’s new contract being done until feb 2023. Where did you see this info?
