What Happens If The Champion Misses Weight?

If a champion misses weight, what process would the UFC undertake if the champion wins the fight and/or if the challenger wins?
 
Does it become vacated regardless of the winner?
 
It doesn't count as a title-defense if the champ wins, and it doesn't count as a title-win if the other guy wins. So basically it's not a title-fight anymore.
I believe it's up to the promotion to either let the champ keep the belt after a win or vacate it after he lost.

At least I think that's how it works. Not sure though.

I just looked it up to read about it and apparently Paulo shipped him the belt afterwards. Guess he got it after all
 
so if khabib misses weight but beats tony, we have no champion? or is conor still the champ then? hmm...

Since he hasn't been beat at 155, and became the actual champ by beating the actual champ, I say it's pretty safe to assume that he would still be the champ.

But if he misses weight, then he wouldn't be the champ.
