There is a reason why nobody can be at the top of the mountain for a long time, but specially in the HWdivision, besides Werdum, everyone can KO everyone with one punch and in a split second everything is over and when you talk about HW`s that`s so evident.
Not only the danger that literally everyone presents and how easily you can lose is so high, also the mental aspect is so important, it`s so hard to keep yourself down to earth and humble in way you can work with 100% focus, Werdum seemed to me in the past few weaks very cocky and overconfident, mocking Cain and Travis, distributing masks and shit...I don`t blame him because he was the World Champ and you can easily get over your head and think you are the best and no way you can lose, what`s crazy is that he was just Champion for a year with no title defenses, just shows you the greatness in guys like Aldo, Silva, GSP, Jon Jones and Fedor, specially Fedor, who in his case it`s even crazier because like i said, he was\is a HW, a guy who wasn`t even that big in that weight class and fought in the HW Golden Era against some of the best HW`s of all time and just defeated them all, went 10 fucking years undefeated, with 28(!!!) fights unbeaten streak...Just mind blowing for me. We need to apreciate more those legends because their legacys are truly amazing, inspirational and i don`t think we will see a fighter winning 7,8,10 world titles like those guys did in the future.

BTW, My football(the real one) team just won the championship league for the 3 time in a row, he are the best and i`m not surprise motherfuckers!!! BENFICA CAMPEÃO!!!! 35!!!!!

Ya, but, but, he fought cans.

As if fighting 5 times a year, and having 3 of those fights be cans, somehow diminishes the 2 legit fights you took. Especially in open weight, where the biggest can can still wreck someone with one punch.

I wanna see Jon Jones fight 5 times a year, 3 of them 350lb cans, 2 of them contenders, in open weight classes, and sometimes more than once a night.

The 28 is softened by japanese cans, and the ability tor respect your opponent while not having training injuries..

But yeah, I agree its impressive

I wanna see Tom Brady go against the steelers defense in the 70's, but I won't. Times change yo

Campeões :D

It would be impressive if most of those wins were legit competition and real HW's. When your fighting the best losses will pop up here and there, in MMA having a undefeated record is overrated unless your name is Jon Jones.

The only legacy that comes close is the Undertaker.

Anything can happen in a fight. Especially HW.

At the elite level you can have most fighter fight multiple times and there will be a different victor. In most cases the series will be split.

I find it funny that people act like fighter A is superior to fighter B because they win one time.

Most of them were legit. And the ones who were cans got destroyed in 10 seconds.

The Fedor saga is the best MMA saga.

Ya, times change. Doesn't change the fact that Jon Jones would never fight open weight, 3 times in one night.

Blah blah blah

Maybe you'd care to do what Fedor did fighting in Japan? If you can do it even just for one year I'll sway and say you're right, it wasn't all that impressive.

Because that doesn't happen in the UFC lol. As much as I would love to see it you can't knock him over an impossible hypothetical situation

Last cancrusher vs Fabio? Call it legacy!

It was an incredible run.

But wait till the haters try to tell you he fought Hong man choi and zulu 30 times.

Really dude? Your going to compare a regular person to what a professional athlete fighting to see which one is more impressive?

Look his legacy is solid he fought when MMA was the Wild West and won a lot of fights as his record can attest to that. But even you have to admit he fought competition that should have never been in the ring with him.
