As I said,most of the stuff she's said in her career has been correct.
People dont like her saying it how it is. Various reasons for that.

I don’t think Valentina was slowing down (at least not a noticeable slow down)
I think her rivals learnt from her (and Nunes, Joanna, Ronda, Cyborg and all the pioneers) so they’re now up to her level.

Despite Valentina’s age, she wasn’t doing much less than she have done against Eye, Chookagian and her first rivals on the ufc.

I THINK THE COMPETITION IS STANDING UP TO HER LEVEL.

Does this show that crisp boxing (with tweaks for mma) > muay thai/traditional martial arts? I was very surprised with how Valentina was looking, as she completely mogged a world class muay thai fighter in Joanna on the feet before.

Except it hasn't. And she's widely worshipped with only a very few of us pointing out her poor sportsmanship, hypocrisy, and delusion.

The reasons for this phenomenon aren't so various (see previous comment about sexuality).

What can I say,you seem really butthurt about people being fans of one of the best female fighters to ever do it.
 
If Val wants motivation to step it up a notch in her next fight, she should just read this thread.

She's a solid fighter but not super good like Val, Rose, Weili...she's in between those three and the likes of Marina Rodriguez and Yan Xiaonan (these two are just as good strikers as she is but unlike her they don't have a ground game).

With regards to the thread topic, Valentina is as good as ever, it's just that she got caught because Alexa managed to do the right move at the right moment which is something that can always happen in a multifaceted sport like mixed martial arts.

Not super good like Val yet she won the first round and finished her before the 5th round.

you can tell her gameplan evaporated the exact moment
 
Complacency and age.

She barely scrapped by Santos so she took a easier fight against Grasso and it backfired hard.

I am still a fan but I can see right through her, I watch good enough of her interviews to know that she was high on her own achievements(as one should be after accomplishing as much as she did).

When I look at Gaycheese vs Tony. I think even prime Tony would have lost (maybe not finished)
When I look at this fight I just think prime Val would have won still.
