There are at least two interesting articles regarding Ontario's explaining the idiotic sport's betting regulation which had driven out small, large DFS, Daily Fantasy sites like Draftking and yahoo.

Unfortunately looks like the battle for DFS to return to Ontario would be long term DFS sports wont return by next fall.
One article suggests that the battle for DFS for Ontario tweaking of the market's rules may not happen for quite some time.

Although using the term if ever is a bit stretching it. As Ontario is the biggest pronvice in Canada when it comes to sports, betting.

There are more than two million users if not more that could be affected. Doug Ford is hoping to regain some of the money from offshore sites back to Ontario's government.

Daily Fantasy Sports Canada & Ontario. What Does Legal Sports Betting Mean for DFS

That said, the same rules also require all participants to be located within the province, slimming down the size of potential player pools and the revenue operators can generate from them. The government entity legally responsible for the market, iGaming Ontario, says games involving liquidity pools outside of the province are currently prohibited.

The regulations are crimping the amount of money fantasy operators can make in Ontario for a product that is different from sports betting and that has smaller profit margins, the FSGA’s Schoenke said.

This is the biggest idiotic rule in this regulation if you are a DFS operator. Players must be located within in the provnice?

I do believe FSGA stated it best even if that were possible in the US. It wouldn't be work for DFS operators nor for that specific state.

Limiting the pool prizes for DFS operators i feel as some of the big casinos had a say in Doug's Ford regulation in the province.
Who clearly dont want DFS fantasy to compete with the betting marketing.

At the same time Doug Ford is almost saying to those Canadians who dont like decision or the regulation they are free to leave the province to the states or other provinces if they wanted to play DFS Fantasy.

That wont be a good look for their regulation regardless.

Not single premier of Ontario, or other provinces in Canada had issues with sports like DFS fantasy before.
When it comes to DFS fantasy sports like Yahoo and others, Ontario instated of moving forward. Ontario is the only province and the first that is going backwards.

The government has also no idea on whose running the so called iGaming.

“Ontario’s new legal iGaming market will create new opportunities for Ontario businesses and a better, safer gaming experience for players,” Finance Minister Peter Bethlenfalvy said in a statement.

The province did not say Tuesday who will run the new entity.
