What happened to Anthony Pettis' unpredictability?

Maybe he is trying to be unpredictably unpredictable and ended up as predictable.

Takedowns and wall and stall happened.

Maybe he got tagged too much in training, made him gun shy.

People figured him out. Gotta stay in his face and not let him get set. When he has time to stalk is when he does his unpredictable stuff.

He revealed his secret attack

Had only one

According to Brendan Schaub, USADA happened.

You don't give him space and range to set up his kicks. You have to be inside and pressure unless you're a top level striker and wear him out against the cage and with wrestling. Guida and Eddie did this. Jeremy Stephens almost beat him doing this. RDA implemented a much more well rounded attack and basically mixed everything up but no LW ever has the well rounded pressure game of RDA from.boxing, kicking, wrestling and BJJ.

Hasn't sured up his wrestling yet but I think he's going to stop Barboza. He rocks him and then transitions into a sub.

He has been figured out since the Clay Guida loss, both Henderson and Melendez were subbed from top position. RDA succeeded because he could implement the same pace that Guida could.

None of the other opponents had any real wrestling.

I dont know, that's an awesome matchup. I like Barboza in that one, he's not as flashy but I think he hits harder than Pettis.

he kind of looks different physically....

he seems to have lost alot of muscle and muscle definition. probably thought he should work on cardio more but then he lost all his dynamic explosiveness. other fighters just figured him out after watching guida and rda. he has a glaring weakness in his game. just pressure and relentless wrestling grinding attack and youll win.

He has JDS syndrome; can't get his back off that fucking fence.

He's definitely not living up to his "Showtime" moniker

He fights exactly like Cowboy, who incidentally RDA also beat, twice, using the same method. They're both incredibly dominant against someone who gives them space and who they have a good reach advantage over. That's why RDA beat them both and why Diaz beat the stuffing out of Cowboy. They're so offensively gifted that when they need the same level of defense, it just isn't there.
