What games have you re-bought the most?

Probably FFVII

Had it on PS1, PSP and PS3. I was gonna buy it again on the Xbone, but I really don't like the look of the "remastered" versions.
I tried it, and was ok with how it looked, but the way they changed the gamplay irked me.

I want it to play like the original.

You talking about the remake, or the remaster? I'm only talking the remaster of the original. Something about the characters being all sharpened up and bright, just doesn't look right. Don't remember any gameplay differences, though, so that's why I'm wondering if you're talking about the remake.

Hmm Ive never seen the remaster then. I didnt know about it. Yeah was talking about the remake.

The remaster actually looks good on first glance. The game desperatley needed it, the 3d "anime-midget" stuff is brutal to look at these days. It's one of the best games ever made but i'm down to play that remaster, gonna have to get it.

Yeah, it wasn't really "announced" as a big deal or anything. More like an upscaling, really. Could be a port from mobile.

Yeah, I see it now. What I saw was something different. It pretty much looks the same, the same brutal polygon count from the old game. It's actually hard to find out it even exists.

The battle stuff looks fine, but man when your walkin around up close, it's like ugh lol

I liked the remake.

Probably Quake 1 and the OG Doom. I think I’ve boughten them each like 4-5 times.

For Doom I think I would have bought Ultimate Doom in late 1995 or early 1996 for our family PC, then I would have bought it for Steam sometime maybe between 2007 and 2011, then off Xbox Arcade for my 360 in maybe 2010, then for PS4 in 2019, and then PS5 in 2024.

For Quake I got it for PC in 1997, then I would have bought it on steam sometime in 2007 to 2011, then for both Switch and PS5 each in 2021.

While I have 2 copies of GTA5, I think it came free/part of a bundle when I bought my Ps4. I bought Rome Total War on Steam a year or 2 ago for like $5 because the disc version wouldn't run on windows..9 or 10. Most recently, bought minecraft on ps4 after originally buying it on switch. My kids FAFO on our Switch world that spamming 5000000 cows and pigs and shit = game not loading hah

I have probably bought Castlevania SOTN many times. Even though its very easy to emulate. I dont mind droppin 5 to 10 to get it on my phone, or steam or xbox one etc. Its just gotta be there when i wanna play it.
Problem is all the "newer" versions of SOTN replaced the legendary script and voice acting from the PS1 original.

There are some REALLY good mods for it on PC/Steam. Upscaled backgrounds (finally a good thing about AI) and models that are still faithful to the original art style. And 60 FPS in battles.
