What Game Would You Like To Be Remastered?

Just wanted to give you guys the heads up that an amazing beat em up is getting remastered with new graphics for pc/Linux (steam), PS4/5 and Nintendo switch. It’s for a game you have probably never heard of - it’s called “paprium” - which come out for sega genesis originally last year. The game is a beat em up like streets of rage 2 where you go around and beat all the enemies up. The game is newer like homebrew so it was never officially released by sega but has like 24 levels and they are making more levels for the remastered version of the game. The game is somewhat legendary already in the sense that it took many years to release from when it was first announced to when it finally released last year. But the reason for its delay wasn’t totally their fault. They raised funds with PayPal and eventually the account got locked and they never got their money - but they still managed to go into debt shipping out the sega genesis games to everyone that ordered one. Which definitely sucks for them but as you know it’s hard to get something like that resolved with PayPal and will require legal action. The good news is - they are raising funds from Kickstarter for the remaster of the game and even selling sega genesis carts. They have a campaign going right now. They’ve raised almost a million dollars so far on Kickstarter so it’s already been a big success. The cool thing is they’ll actually get paid from Kickstarter (unlike lousy PayPal) so they will be able to deliver the games quicker and use the extra money to work on the remaster of the game. Oh yeah - and the guy running the Kickstarter says if they get to 3000 backers by the end of the campaign- everyone gets a free thong lol.

I extremely want Rainbow Six Vegas 2 to be remastered, Vegas 1&2 are literally the only tactical shooters with a cover system. The main difference between Vegas 1 and 2 is you can sprint and jump over obstacles in Vegas 2, which you couldn't do in Vegas 1.

Counter Strike Global Offensive. I am addicted to it, but it's a 2012 game. Is there an update or better version of CS GO?

Well Heavy Rain is the next game made by Quantic Dream, and David Cage after indigo prophecy/Fahrenheit

That’s probably why I like them all, Indigo blew my mind as a kid and sucked me into a genre that didn’t exist, would love to relive that, felt like guitar hero meets traditional interactive storytelling if I remember right. You’re along for the ride, not to win or lose.

PS2 days are very grey. I need a reimagining.

Alan Wake fits the criteria to a small extent in terms of interactive story telling and I’m jazzed for that recent remake.

In hindsight it's crazy that this game was even made. A cult classic movie from the 70s that wasn't hugely popular or anything and Rockstar not even made a game about it, they expanded on the story. You will NEVER see games like this made today.

Any news on Metal Gear? I saw a recent short vid of the Snake voice actor who said they likely can't just re-use the PS1 recordings due to technical quality issues, but might be able to use Twin Snakes' audio.

I always wanted to see the Blade Runner game from 1997 get a remaster. I never got to play it when it came out, as I didn't get my own PC until 2000/01-ish. I pirated a copy (maybe abandonware?) at some point but it crashed like crazy. I played a good 5 or 6 hours, it is great!

Well what do you know Night Dive are remastering this and it's coming out soon. I also learned that it came out on GOG a couple of years ago thanks to ScummVM (Script Creation Utility for Maniac Mansion Virtual Machine) who reversed engineered the og code, which was lost by Westwood studios (og devs) when they were bought by EA.

I was always excited about their System Shock remake, but this is now at the top of my list. The AI upscaling isn't perfect, but it will run 60FPS.


Keeping with Adventure games, I'd love to see a proper remake of The Longest journey and Dreamfall (sequel). I adored those games. A third one was made, but it's made in Unity and was plagued with launch issues, I may have to pick it back up again, such a cool universe

I want a new C&C Generals game. Those were my fav games from them. I played more of that than any C&C game.

Dune 2 was amazing at the time. If there was ever a time to remaster the og RTS king, it's now!

C&C 3 was amazing as well. It still looks good as of a couple of years ago when I replayed it. I bought some 10 game C&C pack on Steam, Tiberan sun held up best IMO.


I'd like to see a Supreme Commander Remake. That was the shit!
