I live in Marquette MI and here and the whole Upper Peninsula of MI are known for these.

Pasties (pronounced pass-tee)

Brought here by the Cornish Miners in the 1800's A pasty is a baked pastry, a traditional variety of which is particularly associated with Cornwall, in the United Kingdom. It is made by placing an uncooked filling, typically meat and vegetables, on one half of a flat shortcrust pastry circle, folding the pastry in half to wrap the filling in a semicircle and crimping the curved edge to form a seal before baking.

Cudighi-

A Cudighi is a spicy Italian sausage that can be bought in links or served as a sandwich often with mozzarella cheese and tomato sauce. Although it originated in Italy, it is now primarily served in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, USA.

I been wanting to try Cornish pastries for a long time. ARe they like empanadas?

I cant believe we don't have those cadighis here in NJ or NY. They look delish. Or are they essentially a calzone?

The inspiration for Texas Chainsaw Massacre's estate is here.

Fish tacos
Mexican food (specifically the california burrito)

I've never had an emapanda so I couldn't tell you. The Cudighis are different from a calzone it's more like a burger or a sub with pizza sauce on it. It's kind of like ground Italian sausage, but the seasoning is a little different. I like to buy it ground and cut it with ground beef grill it up an serve it on hamburger buns.

Fish Tacos started catching on here in Michigan a few years back. It usually takes about ten years for the California fads to catch on here:D

There's a McDonald's out by the highway, so I'd have to say McDonald's.

Damn this sausage sandwich looks godly.

Anyways I live in Munich although I don't come from there. Here it's a bunch of roasted pork varieties or sausages in gravy sauce with dumplings or sauerkraut. Of course served with a huge cold beer.

It's awesome comfort food and the beer houses are fantastic in southern Bavaria.

Unfortunately it doesn't get the press it deserves.

It's a massively underrated food.

Where I'm from-Blooming onions, deviled crabs, Cuban sandwich, and seafood.

Where I'm at-nothing it seems.

Here in San Francisco:
Cioppino
Sourdough bread
The Mission Burrito
