What films are graphically the most violent ever made.

Tom Savini's catalog of gore is up there with, Day of the Dead, The Prowler, Maniac, The Burning.

I recently saw Bacarau, a brazilian film about a small town defending themselves against these human hunters. It was pretty violent and gory but I thought it was overall actual great film. Like another poster said, if the violent serves as an integral part of the story, it's awesome, if it's just mindless over the top nonsense, it's just whack shit that incels with horrible taste whack off to.

Martyrs is also decent

But seriously, anyone who enjoys mindless gore and shock, hasn't mentally left 17. It just screams unselfwareness, cringe, and immaturity.

Requiem For a Dream is one of those movies that legit got to me. It didnt even need to be violent. I know what happened but I never want to see it again.

Some of tthe other things that will be mentioned are just dumb torture porn. This fucked my head up at the worst time possible. Great Film.
This.

Even a movie like the fountain is way more depressing and harder to watch than most of these fake gore movies posted here.

Event Horizon seems pretty violent. I've never seen it.

Agree on Requiem for a Dream. One of the most well made films I've ever seen but since I last saw it (probably 13 years ago?) I haven't been able to bring myself to watch it again since I don't really want to be depressed for 3 days.

I am not a huge fan of mindless violence, nor do I usually go out of my way to see them. Saw The Revenant with my fianceé and thought the Bear-scene was pretty brutal, and Amazing. Antichrist also had some pretty crazy scenes.

The I Spit on your grave films are better than the hostel ones imo.

Martyrs was on another level of greatness. Not sure if I'd say it was the most brutal though.

Passion of the Christ. The chunks of flesh flying out of his back due to the nine tails lashings was a nice touch. Im sure there are many others.

Machete comes to mind too. Escaping three or four stories by using a guys intestines as a rope was haute violence.
could only watch that once and it was difficult

I just watched a compilation of Adam Chaplin scenes - WTF is going on in that movie!? Looked like gory 'Fist of The North Star'..!

That type of violence neither appeals to or shocks me. I'm far more shocked at realistic violence. Things like Saving Private Ryan, Goodfellas, The Departed because its pretty accurate and thats where the shock value comes from, for me at least.

The baseball bat scene in Casino has always stuck with me!

Gore porn threads on 4 Chan made fake gore child's play.

I hobestly found seeing a portion of a real life birth more disturbing and gore filled than any fictional movie.

* I am an expert, and I will make it really simple for you TS, here is the TOP 5 to start with:

1) I Spit on Your Grave (2010)
2) Martyrs
3+4) Tokyo Gore Police + Mutant Girls Squad
5) Rambo - Last Blood (EDIT and CORRECTION , meant RAMBO 4, not Last Blood)

Also, my list is the best. And also, my list encompasses a good range of violence so you can pick the style of violence that personally speaks to you.

PS - Some of the movies listed in this thread aren't even close.

I finally re-watched that on Easter Sunday- yeah that was was hard to watch. Very brutal.

This thread reminded me of those shitty Troma movies. I wonder if they’re still around

Kill Bill would've got an NC-17 rating of they didn't make the major fight scene in black amd white.

Robocop was originally made to be so violent and over the top that it would be almost comedic. A lot of the violence got cut out so it could get an R rating. Turns out toning down the violence actually made it more realistic and the director felt it made the movie actually more gruesome.

There's a lot of very violent anime out there. Movies like Ninja Scroll and Fist of the North Star actually got me into anime. Now when I watch it I find the violence kind of off putting. Not sure what chamged considering how many violent movies I have seen

Probably that ive seen, 'Men Behind the Sun' about Unit 731, the secret Japanese human experimentation project during ww2. Supposedly uses footage of some real images of death.
