What fighters other than Poirier have re-invented themselves at a higher weight class?

Pretty crazy the run he has been on at 155. He really seems to be putting the pieces together.

Could it be the hair? Blows my mind that someone with such magnificent hair would shave it for so long. No homo, but he looks a lot better with hair.

Anyway, can you think of any fighters that have moved up in weight, instead of down, and made such improvements?

shit, good one. Slipped my mind. I'm sure there are some other good examples as well.
Gastelum also been good moving from WW.

Anthony Johnson was pretty good at higher weight classes.... Lmao.

I don't know about re-inventing himself, but RDA has done pretty damn well at WW after initially being considered too small.

I don't know about reinvented, but RDA looks like a better version of himself at 170,

He won't make it out of first against Notorious McGregor.

The Reem, yes he's had some bad ko's but he's had some solid wins and titles.

DP was a LW who went down because he couldn't beat anyone of note. Then he came back to his correct weight because the cut was too much. So he didn't "re-invent" himself.

It's not like he's been tearing through a murderer's row since he went back up.

James Irvin shedded his 185 lb alien shell and reinvented himself as a human again at 205

I'd argue that his last 4 has been tougher than Khabib's last 4 and is in fact a murderers row.

Justin Gaethje
Pettis
Eddie Alvarez
Jim MIller

Vs

Al Iaquinta
Barboza
Michael Johnson
Darrell Horcher

What would a murderers row at LW be to you?

How hasn't anyone said Mighty Mouse, I know his division is pretty crap besides Cejudo and Benavidez but he's improved greatly since the Cruz fight
